On android: use an app that gives you YouTube premium for free (forgot what its called); no clue if this app still works or not, since Google sued them or something. On iOS: Pay for YouTube Premium. On TV: You need a router management type of device, like a PiHole or something. Or you can just pay for YouTube Premium. Also, blocking ads is just one thing, but background play and PIP on mobile is a game changer. If you have Firefox on your phone, then you can use uBlock Origin on it. There are also other browsers and apps that let you block ads. I'm starting to wonder though if I should just bite the bullet.
