predators want a good, worthy hunt, but have superior weapons, technology, armor, and stealth camouflage.

Predators don't use most of their tech hunting humans. They have some pretty insane shit.

Yeah, but they're still flesh & blood and hunt alone (most of the time). Did you see how a predator got speared in the latest movie?

A predator on the hunt holds itself back a lot. In a full blown war, humanity would stand zero chance.

I'm just saying I don't respect them.

the movies try to point towards some kinda warrior nobility, but even when they're holding back, they have clear, significant advantages over humans.

at least with the xenomorphs, their crazy physiology makes things interesting.

The only Predator I think that actually is worthy of some respect is the one in the original Arnold movie. In the final battle, it pretty much strips naked . Seems like every other one cheats.

They should make a slice of life movie on the Predator home planet where they're just doing regular jobs like working at a Dairy Queen and they all hate the weirdo hunter bros

In the 90s I once read a Predator novel. I think the main character was Arnold's characters little brother. The only thing I remember is that at one point the main character is thinking in his head and wondering if on there home world, do there exist Predators who oppose hunting. Are there Predators on the the streets holding signs saying "save the humans"?
That was the only part that stuck with me

Look at when humans hunt. Would you really argue that a man with a rifle doesnt have something of an advantage over a deer?

This is always something I hated about them.

They are stronger then people and have better tech. But yet spend most of the time hunting people that don't know they are being hunted or even that something like them exist.

It is like in the King of the Hill Episode, when a rich club bad it easy to kill deer without effort.

as humans, we don't really try to be "honorable" when we hunt.

the movies, at least, make a point of them hunting "worthy" prey, but then they snipe that prey while invisible.

Generally speaking, yes. There have been examples of more experienced ones coming to earth to hunt humans who have survived encounters with predators.

And yet, in those movies, the predators tend to suffer losses, which would indicate that the humans are worthy.

For all you know, if the Yautja sees a human yawn or something, the gloves are off. If a certain gland goes off, the gloves are off. If it's little pager thing on its hip goes off, bonus points for laser kills. We just don't know

One idea that came to mind is the Yautja may be trying to find scenarios that challenge or outright destroy its sense of honor, so it can ascend or something

I'd love a movie where a human is raised by Predators. Back in the 90s I found a leaked AvP movie script and at the end of the movie, a woman leaves with a Predator in his ship to live with them.

I want to see the aftermath. A human warrior in Predator armor, trained in their ways

I mean, youre not wrong, but thats not how its pitched. Its meant to be something about the great spirit and ingenuity of man thats makes us so dangerous or some similar bullshit.

No different than human hunters or soldiers

But it's fair to them because they won't kill you if you're pregnant or deathly sick or unarmed. Pick up a small handgun and you're fair game tho lol
