That's a crazy good duo of games, ngl.

Fall of 2002 I was a freshman, don't think I got it upon release date, but it wasn't too long after. The commercial with simple and clean sold me after I saw it a few times. I was already passively interested because I knew you could fight Sephiroth in it and as a FF7 fan that was a big plus.

I remember going to Walmart to buy it. It's still the only one in the series I ever played. I quickly lost track of the series as it came out with so many sequels on so many platforms

Yeah, I don't know how they really expected everyone to follow along with every new game being on a different platform.

The HD sets helped things eventually, but it was too little too late for a lot of people. At least now they seem to be releasing things on multiple consoles outside of the phone apps.

Then I bought GBA CoM cuz the commercial was cool with that simple and clean song

Then I got hype as fuck for 2 when Sora KH2 outfit was shown and more importantly this commercial

Then time passed until FF15 and KH3 were on the horizon, but by then I did not gaf

Amazing game for its time, just beat KH3 on Critical the other day too lol

Fuck, I remember getting Kingdom Hearts for Christmas that year and playing it over the school break. Sitting in my childhood basement with the fireplace being my only light, a thick blanket of snow outside. Christmas music playing over the stereo at a low volume (my parents have always kept it playing 24/7 through the whole season lol)

What a wonderful memory this just unlocked
