Im not implying anything, Im just curious. Cause it feels random when there's no context and I don't know why you'd publically relive trauma unless it's an attempt to help others.

Teigen said she came to the realization after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade earlier this summer. She expressed to Legend that she felt sympathy toward people who have an abortion and the circumstances they had to go through and the emotional decision they had to make, when Legend made her realize that she was in fact one of those people. I fell silent, feeling weird that I hadnt made sense of it that way, Teigen shared. I told the world we had a miscarriage, the world agreed we had a miscarriage, all the headlines said it was a miscarriage. And I became really frustrated that I didnt, in the first place, say what it was, and I felt silly that it had taken me over a year to actually understand that we had had an abortion. Teigen was doing a talk called We Made That Choice.

Thanks tho. This makes it make sense. That's nice of her to do. Some might say they do it for attention. But I bring up shit to try to make others going through similar things or being shunned not feel alone as well. So, that's what I project onto it.

They probably gave her the pills and described it like a miscarriage.

I'm not trying to take anything away from her.... that has to be terrible. I had a buddy who had a kid that didn't survive the womb and it still haunts him. But what the fuck is she talking about? Honestly, this just seems to be her saying shit to make headlines or some newspaper taking shit she said to make headlines. Halfway through the pregnancy she realized the kid wouldn't make it and also it could be a danger to her to carry it. I don't think anyone will argue with her over the proper word to use in that scenario and frankly I can't imagine anyone cares. Say miscarriage or abortion, it doesn't matter to me.

it seems like she was having complications and went in to see a doctor, and that while she thought her baby was miscarried, she was given an abortion to help save her.

and this isn't something she initially realized until her husband pointed it out to her.

also, maybe I'm wrong, but sometimes when people miscarry, they still need doctors to remove the fetus.

Not a doctor but I'm pretty sure they do. Sometimes it can pass on it's own, sometimes it's bigger and needs to be removed.

A lot of times when you're in that situation, you have to make the call of what to do in the moment as things are happening, and they typically don't refer to it as an "abortion" when you are going over your options.

Im confused, did she undergo a medical procedure that resulted in the death of the fetus, or did she suffer a miscarriage and had decided to call it an abortion in order to make a point, or garner attention?
