My local barber went up $3 in about 20 years. Everyone there is really nice so I always go back :3

Haircuts went from being $20 to $35 in like 4 years.

At this rate you will just become the next Richard Branson by not getting your hair cut.

Legitimately I spend 35 bucksat minimum to get a fade, and I only cut the sides too because I have like shoulder length hair on top...it's rediculous how expensive everything is to the point of I clean up my hair in-between cuts and just go get a neck shave

That dude in the picture has been getting his hair cut for at least 16 years.
Use the on base barber shop for when you want to look your "okayest"

The Vietnamese salon near me still does $9 men's haircuts, up from $7 pre-covid.

A fade is pretty simple. Still get charged as much as a fancy lad haircut.

I just buzz my hair, takes like 2 minutes and saves money.

That's fair, half the cost. I mean 1500 in a year isn't too extreme but I just let it all grow out once pandemic hit and never went back to a barber after that.

Yeah I've cut my own hair since 16. First thing I bought in the Army were my own clippers too.

You're better off learning how to cut you own hair to save money.

My friend is a hairdresser and has been doing mine for free for the past 6+ years, so glad I get to save there.

Wish it was that cheap. I pay 50 for mine. 40 + tip.

I only get one like once ever month and a half to two months though.

Where do you get $1500 its only about $700 per year, $27 x 26 = $702 plus tips maybe $900 you spend way more than that on going out to eat

If you get a $30 haircut once a week that's 1500 and then some.

I paid $10 for my haircut, and I tip $5. It was $6 when I first going to my barber 23 years ago.

I have long hair so I only need to cut my hair once a year. The fact that my stepmother cuts it for free doesn't hurt either.

I understand barbers who set appointments having higher prices. That's basically what they make an hour and they usually are paying for the building/chair they use as well.

I'm more annoyed that a chain barber shop that can be 'done' with your hair in 5-10 and have another butt in the seat, and spend just about that much time on them, is wanting to charge more than double what it used to be over the course of a decade for the same exact haircut.

Before he died, the barber I was going to would charge $30 for about 30 minutes and he'd actually spend most of that time cutting your hair, talking to you, etc.

But paying more than half that for a blazing fast slap job is just insane.

But I've also seen places that wanted to charge $26 for a buzz cut. Just a simple ass once around with no guard.

Idk, I just feel like I'm missing something justifying the cost of a haircut.
