Loving this show still. Needs more Cousin Larry though.

It's overall ready are most of them this short.

Anywho Jenn was driving me crazy. The whole thing is she needs to prove that she is She-Hulk. But when he Suit maker, was like no it's just Jennifer not She-Hulk. LOL

Because she was ultimately going to let slide the trademark issue and mostly self identifies as Jen regardless of which form she's in. Going to trial to protect her use of the moniker was mandated by her law firm, NOT something she chose to do of her own accord.

I enjoyed this episode. Through 5 episodes, it's my favorite Disney+ MCU show. I thought episode 4 was the weakest one so far, but it was still decent, imo.

They're expecting us to believe that Matt Murdock, clear across the country in his dumpy apartment, has the clout to swing for Luke's designs? :-P

Oh hey, also first episode without a cameo.

They really do need to make these episodes longer, they feel too short, and not in a good way.

I thought it was the weakest episode thus far but enjoyable enough

More than half the show is done, better not cram a world ending threat in now

How many episodes of this are there?

There are nine. Decent amount I feel, especially for something that's enjoying being episodic.

I liked this episode; it actually had Jen come up with a smart legal maneuver to win the case (even though she wasn't technically the attorney), explored some genuine internal conflict stuff she has about reconciling her regular persona with her She-Hulk formboth things I have previously said the series lackedand still kept its charm and humor. Bonus points for the "Pro Say" podcast name legal pun.

I do wish they would lean into the fourth wall breaks a bit more. They feel a bit slapped-on, like they do it just for the sake of "honoring" the comic character, rather than being a purposeful narrative choice. Maybe they are just trying to avoid comparisons to Deadpool, but I think shows like Fleabag or House of Lies do a much better job in this aspect.

Overall though I'd say that while there are still some things I'd change about the show on the whole, this last episode has been a good improvement, and I'm hopeful that it will land on a solid identity for itself before the season ends.

I'm not really picking up on the jabs at men. Maybe I'm missing it. There are some stupid male characters but those are in every show. Just cause some males are antagonists, and the main character is female, doesn't mean its anti male.

I dont get why this show gets so much hate. I even saw a video on YouTube saying the creator clearly never read a she hulk comic. I think this is the most comic accurate entry yet in the mcu.....

I didnt mind them in the other episodes, like the cat calling one or the ones about men crying on the internet

...but this show got the whole dating app scene so wrong. Jennifer walters in real life would match everyone and most likely be rejecting everyone for even the smallest mistake while getting free meals

Yeah, the fact that standard Jennifer couldn't get matches is extremely unrealistic.

But I don't get the comments that say the show bashes men. Seems well rounded in terms of decent men, shitty men, decent women, shitty women...

aside from this episode where people dont know what the dating scene is like. The movie making dude didnt even seem like that bad of a guy. Annoying sure. Also the one dude just wanted a big green woman. Jen and the lawyer just wrote them off as bad people, only because they were incompatible dating matches. In the dating pool women are just as shallow.

The rest of the show has been fine, its just sensitive dudes on the internet

This whole thing about not wanting to date Jen is problematic The Doctor and writer are painted as bad guys just because they didn't want to date Jen.

Turn the sexes around. If a girl didn't want to Guy Gardner, and he and Buster Gold went to a bar and call her names and such. This would not be a very good look, same thing here. No one owes you their affection. And someone is not a bad person for not giving it away. But if a guy doesn't like a women that is how people act. Heck even here. If someone post a good looking women and someone says they don't find her attractive people will go after that person.

You would have a point if they didn't also paint Bruce poorly as trying to "mansplain" Hulking to her. He's literally the Hulk, and he went through some real challenges in life. Jen acting like she can easily control Hulking because she's a woman who needs to control her anger in life. Like you seriously think men don't have to control their anger?

They didnt even allow Doctor Strange to mansplain being a sorcerer to Wanda.

I'm really not feeling this show. It has its funny moments, but it feels so aimless...so I guess I'm describing phase 4 of Marvel in general.

You are aware Bruce is very bad at controlling his anger, right? That's the entire point of the Hulk. Jen wasn't wrong. She is better at controlling her anger.

And she wasn't explaining how being "a" Hulk works. She was explaining how she worked, which is different than Bruce's experience.

I remember people being absolutely fucking livid that Hawkeye's post-credits scene was a goofy musical number instead of the reveal that Hawkeye's wife is Dr. Doom in disguise.

To be fair, that would be a shocking twist

One thing that you need to keep in mind with regards to the dating app stuff is that this is Hollywood: they arent going to actually show us an ugly main character. At least not a womanmale leads can get away with not being hot if its a comedy, obviously, but 99% of the time a woman cast for a lead role is always going to be, at a bare minimum, moderately hot. If the character needs to be ugly or struggle with romance, they are still going to hire the hottest actor they can to play the character. Then they just give them glasses, or bad hair, and have all the other characters treat them as though they were marginally unattractive, and we the audience are supposed to then infer that, in the world of the show/movie/play/etc., they are ugly. I mean how could Jen be hot, she has *checks notes* frizzy, unkempt hair! Bleh! Ugh! Yucko, no thanks.

I just don't think "swamped with thousands of requests from god knows where" would make for very good comedy or get across the joke that Jen has a lousy dating life.

This is just disingenuous. Where did they paint the doctor as a "bad guy"? If anything Episode 5 showed that while there might be some awkwardness, there's no real hard feelings. Sure we sympathize with Jen's perspective, but she seems more disappointed than angry or bitter, which is reasonable.

If the writer is the character I'm thinking of, then he was genuinely a tool. Going on a date, talking about yourself constantly, then ignoring your date to browse your phone when she talks about herself, explicitly eyeing some other girls, then abruptly leaving before loudly stating "she's a 6/10 at best" is pretty shitty.

At that bar, also I don't think the writer was the same guy who was looking at his phone . He was the person who complained that she spoke in the 3rd person. David Otunga clearly wasn't painted well. And then that other guy was just creepy.
