They sanctioned Russia, Russia shut off its pipelines, now pretty much every european country is on the verge of crisis mode entering the winter. Governments now have to spend ALOT more money for alternative energy sources and will have to subsidize the costs so the average consumer can afford it. Costs for businesses will sky rocket, productivity will tank, and they will go into bad recessions. And all of the smaller countries that depend on the higher production countries like UK, Germany, and France will also see these effects.

Winter is coming in europe. The US is actually okay because we've been investing in all sorts of energy and we have a ton of reserves and money. But still, oil will one day become depleted...in our lifetime. Fossil fuels aren't just for cars, they are used in all sorts of manufacturing and business.

We should be investing hard into nuclear energy and placing these plants in remote parts of the country where no one goes.

We Swedes apparently export the most energy to the rest of the EU of all EU-members. There is increasing domestic opposition to this EU-rule. The Far-Left has made Sweden prices on energy one of their key issues ahead of Sundays election.
