That reminds me that I have not fasted in any way for at least a week now. Its weighing on my mind, yet I cant seem to get back into it. I like that youve been posting updates, so maybe the rest of us should do the same.

Btw, prime rib sounds super delicious, but kinda scary too.

Yeah i know what you mean. Hard to get back in the swing of things, but better to start now and start again when you fail until it sticks lol.
The holiday season is mostly over except for leftover sweets and bake goods which are deadly to any diet. Have to remember i can still enjoy them in my window, just not go overboard.

Fasted 16 hours today but i tried for 18. Wouldnt have been able to eat leftovers before i left my parents house if i didnt break it after 16. Still making my eating 8 hrs today but then will try for the full 18/6 split.

just wanted to pop in and say great job on the progress. 30 lbs in 4 months really isn't bad. keep it up, don't give up. also, it would be funny if someone made a script that replaces the "s" in fast with an "r" in this topic. Would be a funny read lol.

Then i ate some of these tyson frozen teriyaki fillets i just bought yesterday for first time and are pretty good. Went back to store and bought more BOGO.
Also made a fruit smoothie with some frozen fruits.

Haha true. Knew i had to eat something though or else i tend to overeat junk as a reward or because of hunger. If i didnt eat anything and waited till i actually went out, it would have been a 24hr . So decided to have a smaller meal snd i actually did decent for dinner.
Had a bbq sandwich and a side salad. Shared an app of corn nuggets with my buddy which were the lowest calorie option. Usually get the bbq pork egg rolls but calories were too much. And got the side salad which was a good portion which is a better option than fries.

Under 270 this morning even after going out last night so thats good.

Edge to edge perfect pink. Set the temp to 130 degrees for a little over 2 hrs using some cheaper top sirloin steaks.https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/0/5/0/AADZUeAAEEwS.jpg

Still getting the hang of this vaccum sealer. Not as air tight i would like on some.
Think i need to use more slack then what i want to make sure i get enough space from food and sealer.

Chiclen breast was okay. Didnt season much except cajun seasoning. Got decent browning with a pan with oil and 30 seconds each side after sous vide.
Was definitely easy to eat, but could be because i ate it a few minutes after it was done cooking and it was very tender.

Real test will be how this chicken breast i have left will taste the next day. If it is not too good, i can honestly see myself vacuum sealing 2 big chicken breast at a time and sous vide cooking it a few hours before im ready to eat as a quick healthy dinner option. Instead of the cooking 5 or 6 of them all at once to eat throughought week.

Speaking of which, have you considered maybe switching to chicken instead of beef?

Its less expensive and some diets would have you take red meat out. Im assuming that youre not interested in vegan or fish.

I usually go between chicken, beef, and pork. Sometimes salmon if i want seafood. Usually eat whatever i want if i have a craving.
I eat chicken a lot, but I do want to focus on mainly chicken like 75% of the time. Love me some steak though haha. Hoping the sous vide will make eating chicken breast more enjoyable and easy.

Im hoping the IF will be the lifestyle change to keep the weight off so long as i stick to it.
I think if i stick to fasting without calorie counting, i should be able to maintain. But since my focus is losing weight right now, im more strict with the food.
