Loved RF4 but 5 felt...stiff, with an painfully dull world, awful framerate, the town felt harder to navigate, and its stupid easy too. Everything just felt off. They needed way more time and budget then they gave the team and it shows. It's really frustrating how Story of Seasons and its related games seem unable to put out a fully polished product while even attempting anything new at all. You'd think stardew and the 800 quadrillion farm games coming out since would've lit a fire under their asses but I guess not. Kinda Ironic that RF5 was arguably the biggest innovation of theirs(full 3D jump + Gay marriage) in years and it still felt half baked and old. Going full 3D with a brand new team was also a mistake. Should've stuck to the formula on 5 and THEN given a big boost to ambition and budget in 6 after they already got their experience with the series and the Switch. Rushing out a half baked evolution on a budget only hurt sales and their reputation. I played like 5 hours and haven't gone back. Quite possibly the singular thing it did better then RF4 is gay marriage being a thing.
