Yeah, I never understood how so many women grew up watching and loving the movie despite all the dirty inappropriate stuff. My wife was one of them and she claims to not remember any of it.

The whole point of the summer loven song was to show how guys exaggerate about their sex life, while she was telling what really happened.

They were pretty clearly meant to be edgy teen movies.

grease 2 had almost every song in it be about sex.

its a big musical number about a boy trying to trick a girl into having sex with him by convincing her russia is invading and they are going to die.

That's Grease 2.

You could make a case that Grease was a prototype of the raunchy teen comedy before Porky's came along a few years later and revolutionized the genre. Other choice lyrics from 'Greased Lightning:'
