I had asthma as a baby so probably wouldn't have survived childhood

Would have died at birth

I was 8 weeks premature, so probably dead.

If I wasnt, I would only have one hand.

I'd probably never have got a BA w/o Adderall.

I would likely be alive, but bedridden.

I have a seizure disorder. I'd be totally fucked without these little pills. The petit mal seizures were a daily occurence, often more than one per day. The grand mal seizures were more like two a month. I wouldn't be able to drive or work if these weren't under control. That many seizures on a regular basis easily could have lead to me dying, or something worse.

I would have been screwed without antibiotics with a few of the infections I've had.

I'd be fine.

Wouldn't have survived to birth. Also would've died several times after as well.

My eyesight is terrible, unless I never left my cave I wouldnt survive very long

Doubtful I survive early childhood.

I had an inguinal hernia as an infant that was repaired by surgery, so...maybe would've been one of those many dead babies of the premodern age. The historical treatment for hernias was to use a tight wrap or belt to hold the guts in while the abdominal wall healed but no idea how well that worked for babies.

Had Scarlet Fever twice as a child. I would have likely been dead.

Oh yeah. As long as I take my pills it's totally controlled. Haven't had any issues with it screwing up my liver either. Been on this medication for over 20 years now so I think I'm good. Doctors still insist on blood work once a year for it though.

I had pneumonia when I was in the first grade.

I don't know a ton about what went down, but I was a rough birth, so I'd probably be dead. Also had an infection that required surgery when I was a kid. Also had a massive kidney stone that required minor surgery, but I dunno that that would have happened in a society without modern medicine. Even without that, I probably wouldn't be too well off since I'm super duper nearsighted.

My brother had a heart condition as a kid, so he'd be dead for sure too.

I got hit by a speeding truck when I was younger and was in pretty bad shape for a while.

Not positive if I'd have died, but it wouldn't have been great.

Right now? I would slowly die. Its complicated but I only eat 24/7 via IV. Anything I eat causes pain.

Id probably be dead without the vaccines you're supposed to have babies get.

If those weren't a factor I'd be alright. I can't remember the last time I got sick.

Without regular medicine I most likely would have died to a fever / infection in high school. That's probably the closest anything has ever been to killing me.

Without vaccines I'm probably dead by 6 or 7.

Maybe an amputation or 4 depending on how modern and the ability to deal with breaks and gashes.

Weekly blood leeching cures everything, too much blood is the root cause of most medical conditions.

On the other hand, a world without modern medicine probably wouldn't have speeding trucks.

I would be a miserable sad sack and probably slide into alcoholism without transition care.

Also my girlfriend would be dead. Either because of childbirth or mast cell. Take your pick. And I wouldnt even know who she was.

I would have died at 6 years old from spinal meningitis.

i had one of those once. no memory of before or during seizure. just remember being in the back of an ambulance.

end result: fucked up back for a month.

they ended up saying the result was due to dehydration (it was hot in the apartment at the time and i didn't drink enough fluids).

as far as topic goes, i would've not made it when i was 3 or 4. very bad asthma incident that required a 2-3 day hospital stay.
