"Busing" means desegregation busing.

Tucker has almost no advertisers. But he doesn't need them because FNC is Cable TV and makes money simply being "must have" to providers.

1 - Having more than one race ride the same bus
2 - Having bus routes that go to both rich and poor parts of town, which integrates different economic/social classes.

Obviously No. 2 tends to imply No. 1 as well.

A couple of months ago I watched an episode of Black-ish and they talked about how public school test scores went way up after desegregation happened but then some dumb law got passed in the 90s that basically made it so that school were more segregated than ever and thats when test scores dropped like a rock again

Busing is something that is literally only discussed in legit racist circles (skinheads, white nationalists, etc). Bringing it up in the open on live TV (at least in this context) would've been show-canceling in scope just a decade ago.

I think my mom got to benefit from these programs.

He's a white supremacist. It's that simple. There have been actual studies that have highlighted how he's been responsible for bringing formerly fringe conspiracy theories relegated to places like Stormfront to the Republican mainstream.

He also openly pushes "great replacement" bullshit. And recently opened a segment on drag shows by referring to Weimar Germany (the implication being that the modern US is as "degenerate" as Weimar was and thus needs a Nazi movement)

I honestly don't think it makes a difference either for his personal morality or the effects of his rhetoric if he's a dyed-in-the-wool neo-nazi or just an opportunist tbh. Both lead to the same place. But yes, he clearly had reservations about the insurrection behind the scenes while openly downplaying it on air for example.

Not to always be citing Jason Stanley but he's also pretty sure we'll see a Carlson presidency in our lifetime so that's fun.

If they know and are outraged they're not part of the target audience anyway. It's a dog whistle for people who know and do support it.

The ones who don't know don't register that he said anything wrong. The audience of Fox News continues to drift more and more right and the hope is that these people will eventually also go with them.

For any non Americans that dont understand bussing, my metropolitan area(St. Louis) has it. Parents that live in the city can apply to send their kids to a school in the county, and vice versa.

That's how my mom was able to go to a decent school instead of the bad school she technically lived in the district for.
