Do you?

For a long time I didn't use cruise control but I've started using it more in recent years

Absolutely never. Having the foot on the pedal has never been an issue for me.

almost 100% of the time i'm on the freeway because it's objectively superior. the safest thing you can do as a driver is to be predictable, CC does exactly that.

Ill also add this, I recently got a car with lane assist and I hate that shit with a passion. My steering wheel just randomly tightens up depending on how well it can see the road. The more computer controlled bullshit I can turn off, the better.

Long stretches of highway when there's little/no traffic. Keeps me from having to adjust speed constantly and prevents me from speeding accidentally.

I also recently got a new car with lane keep and adaptive cruise control and it's basically cheating on longer drives

Usually only in long distances on the high way, to rest my foot and make sure I don't go toof are above the limit.

My car also automatically keeps a certain distance from cars in front of me, so it'll slow down automatically accordingly. It's pretty convenient.

Dont see why you wouldnt use (modern, adaptive) cruise control if you have it

objectively far safer for freeway driving

I just set CC to the speed limit and then I'm done with it. I don't see the point in going 5 over the limit or whatever. It's not going to make an appreciable difference in the amount of time it takes to get where I'm going.

Options 1, 2, and 3 all apply to me. I use it because it's the best way to drive. Relaxing, steady, good gas mileage. There's literally no downside.

I almost never use cruise control. In LA I don't really encounter long stretches of highway where I don't change speed.

the longer the trip, the more it matters. by going 5MPH over on most road trips, i make up for the time spent stopping for gas, to pee, etc. at the end of an 8h drive, that adds up to like 30m saved.

I dont normally use it. Sometimes on an empty stretch of highway ill remember i have it, but its a hassle if theres even a moderate amount of traffic. Easier to just use my foot.

Only used a few times. But it nice not having to step on the accelator for 100 miles of straight freeway. Set it to 85mph and just keep the car straight.

I've only used it like twice in my life years ago.

People drive too crazy to set it and forget it. You have to constantly be on your toes

Well you're not really supposed to use it in traffic

If you're on the freeway/highway/interstate, set it and just keep eyes on traffic ahead
