Been playing for about a week and a half. Lots of maps, upgrades and game modes. You also can't just spam any tower and win, you have to use combos that work together. I highly recommend, if you're into tower defense games.

No one was into Bloons back in the days of flash games?

I played Bloons TD5, but with the Flash shutdown, I can't retrieve my save data.

I was give this on Steam, but for some reason my progress doesn't save.

It just takes me back to the beginning of the game each time I load back into it.

i have never played any other than 6, but its incredibly addictive

I put like 400+ hours into it before I started drifting away from it. Huge value for your dollar

I like doing the stages where you can only use 3 of the Towers and if you do you get a bonus reward. I also like the Odyssey levels

It's strange that it's still GaaS after purchase. It has daily login bonuses and unlocking abilities/heroes requires major time commitment or more money.

Been thinking about it. I have a TD itch that needs to be scratched, and I don't think I'll play Plants vs Zombies again since I just played & beat it last year.

Yeah, it's great. I hope that one day they make a Bloons TD 7. They still add updates to 6, but I started with Bloons TD 3 and I feel like they made pretty big strides with each new game. Probably won't happen for a while though, they're still slowly adding Paragon forms for the towers.

I've got Bloons 6 on my phone. It's a fun game even if it's clearly designed to be massively p2w

I deleted so many folders and files to get my iBuffalo controller to work.

I tried every suggestion online and now Steam is such a mess. :/

Turns out I only had to map the Dpad to X and Y axis, and not the Dpad option like one would assume to use.

yeah the alchemist is a pretty strong contender for best tower in the game. I like using it with bottom path Tack or top path Ace

one of my go-to strategies for Chimps is getting the three tier 5 snipers -- usually 052, 025, and 520 -- with alch and village

I bought it on the steam sale cause why not but haven't tried it

As is Crazy Kings and Crazy Defense Heroes.

I mean, the game is permanently on sale. If it's up your alley, you're getting an absolutely INSANE value for your money. It's not like the time you spend earning money is pointless; you're doing lots of challenges and variations on the 60 maps, and your only reward for your time is more BTD6. They're constantly adding more to the game, and I think this is the right way to do GaaS if you're going to do it. 6 is definitely less player-friendly than 5, but it's still insanely generous. If you want an example of it done wrong, look at Bloons Monkey City or Battles.

Loving the game so far. Been doing the Obyn + Ninjas + Alch strat. But I haven't been able to clear 100 yet. Is that when I just roll out tons of MOAB+ hate? I just tend to 6 poplusts after that, or maybe sun god super monkeys but I eventually get overwhelmed somehow.

The biggest issues in getting to 100 are the DDT-heavy 90 and 98. The best solution is to just put 2-3-0 Villages everywhere, as that bypasses camo, regrow, and lead. It goes without saying that spamming the shit out of Super Monkeys is also immensely helpful.

It's pretty damn fun. Some of the achievements are just dumb though.
Gotta log in every day for an entire year...

they're all good.
Adora is probably the best hero for super late-game (though Geraldo might overtake her as more paragons come out)
Ben turns basically any non-CHIMPS mode into easy mode
Sauda is really strong on basically any map that only has one path. particularly if she gets placed at a spot where she can get at the bloons multiple times

Geraldo works quite differently from the other heroes. I haven't actually used him all that much. the items in his shop are interesting though, and very strong

For those who need help, a great beginner combo is

Ninja (402) with Alchemist Buff (4xx)

then set up a bunch of Advanced Intel Subs (240 and 204). Once you have 2 or 3 subs you can comfortably coast to the late game so spend the downtime farming for cash and getting a strong tower. 302 Super Monkey and a Pursuit HeliPilot of either path are great choices.

If you still need to unlock tower upgrades, play deflation mode and spend as much money as you can on the tower you want to earn XP for.

What monkey hero should I go for? I hear Adora, Ben, Geraldo, or Sauda?

Sauda is a great, easy to use tower that trivializes easy and medium maps, because of their curves and bends. Benjamin is probably the best tower in the game for any mode other than CHIMPS, because of how much extra money you make.

Geraldo is by far the most op hero atm but he's getting nerfed next update.
Being able to just place down cheap turrets that do fairly good damage, have very cheap cameo on him which will also give it to all the turrets or another tower for 10 rounds for just 210 or so, being able to deal with leads after r35+ easily, being able to boost pierce and damage on something like a tack with sharpening stone, having the rabbit that cleans up till r80, having a maelstrom and eventually super maelstrom for 500, a genie that does a lot of damage for 2 rounds and all the other utility he has is unmatched.
Only one that comes close is Ben cause of a lot of extra money.
I'd say go for Ben first if you want to play more relaxed, Geraldo next depending on how nerfed he gets, Sauda and then Adora unless you want her earlier for late game things but you would also like to have vengeful unlocked for that.

Also I wish there were different optimization features which is my only gripe. Game turns my phone into a nuclear reactor lol

2 - Which Towers are best for each Map type? For example a Magic Monkey and the Helicopters are good for maps with lots of cover.

3 - Whats the general strat for Half-Cash? This is my hardest challenge

4 - I havent Unlocked him yet, but whats so special about the DJ Hero? I think he gets Bananas for you, but it seems like he uses Monkey Bucks which = real money. Dont want to buy him if thats the case.

5 - What other elite advice do you have?

My favorite towers so far are

204 Ace: Never miss upgrade is dope and the apache upgrade (xx4) is bonkers.

xx4 Heli: Bumping MOABs looks hilarious lol

xx4 Bombs: Clusters fuck. And the xx4 upgrade is cheap as hell. Combine with Striker Jones and Villages to hit camos and baby we got a stew going

you get monkey bucks by beating maps and stuff. You end up accumulating a ridiculous amount once you play enough. Too many to spend even if you tried. He does not attack Bloons but he gives you an extra $150 at the end of every round, eventually $800 once he levels up enough, and for every bloon spawned, he gives you $1 instantly. Hes got some other perks too but the extra cash flow is the main point. As you might guess, hes pretty great for Half Cash Mode. He also makes banana BANKS make more money

levels to keep an eye out for:

24 - first Camo bloon
28 and 30 - multiple lead bloons
33 - many camos
40 -MOAB
59 - Camo Leads (110 Sniper and 022 Wizard are cheap solutions. Alch buffed Ninja too. Or any camo monkey paired with a 2-2-0 sub)
76 and 78 -densely packed ceramics
87 - 2 reinforced ZOMGs
90 - first appearance of DDTs (superfast camo lead blimps)
93 and 95 - Many DDTs

Youve probably seen some maps have a Gold Bloon in the corner, or Bonus Monkey Money, or other extras like that. Sometimes a map will have a Teams notification in the corner, and you get extra bonuses if you beat a map using only your Hero and the 3 Monkeys they show

it's called "Pre-Game Prep" in the "Powers" section

that's... rather subjective to some extent. there are usually specific places on maps that are better for placing certain towers, rather than specific map types.

for example, the bottom path tack shooter (and really, the tack shooter in general) does really well in spots where it will hit the track in every direction. like the small square where you can place towers on "Resort"

the top path Dart Monkey is really strong on maps with a lot of obstacles (like Hedge and Cornfield) because the spiked balls will bounce off the obstacles, potentially hitting more bloons

Heli (really any path) is great for maps with multiple paths for the bloons (as long as the paths are not in use simultaneously) like Bloonarius Prime and High Finance

I often use my insta monkeys there
