Empen blocks effect from SS monsters, so it sucks because link monsters cannot go into defense >_>

Flunders are literally auto-pilot decks, which turns me off massively.

I used to play a lot of Shadowverse pre-MD, and I gotta say, that game was too basic that like a good half the meta consisted of self-playing decks. I don't understand how you can find that fun in the long term. I'm not saying SV was only auto-pilot. I actually really love most Portal decks cuz they required a lot of creative thinking and planning, but it's painful when you're the only one thinking, and you're essentially playing against somebody who isn't even trying. Even worse when you end up losing because you simply didn't luck into the best plays

I think people playing it are kinda in denial but once MD came out, it was pretty clear just how fucking autopilot SV was compared to YGO in general.

But Flunders remind me so much of a Shadowverse deck that it physically pains me. It's basically Ward Haven but you don't have to wait 8 turns for the same result.

I think most Hearthstone type copies do tend to devolve a bit into auto-run fixed scale type playstyles in general though. I really think all mana does for a lot of card games is just make the duels last longer while the individual turns are shorter.

Im trying to be a little different with my Floo deck tho so I threw in some floodgates. Splashed in Macro Cosmos too because why not lol. May throw in Accumulated Fortune too

Auroradon needs to be banned, like, yesterday.

My Auroradon combos are horse shit. I really have no clue how these players do it. Right now I just have really bad like self-Yazi destruction combo to make the lvl 8/10 SwordSoul synchros more consistently.

So I just noticed that as part of the datamine, two of the loaner decks for the Ex-Zero festival are going to be Floow and Adventure. Gonna be fuuuuuuuuuuun >_>

Playing floow is kinda fun though, but feels a tad linear. Once you summon Empen it sort of turns into "defend the castle" where your rate of success depends on how much you let your opponent play Yugioh.

Yes, normal and continuous traps are spell speed 2.

Crafted Striker Dragon, didn't realize I had a free pull for the Rokket pack. Managed to pull Borreload Classic Dragon.

Kinda wish it was Sword but since it only cost me 30 SR dust I can't complain. >_> Gonna see if I can tech it into a few decks, still seems useful.

In the new sp duels, there is one that is particularly egregious. An embarrassing Neos/Crystal Beast deck without 3 Neos Fusion/Contact Fusion and without Rainbow Neos or Rainbow Dragon...

VS...

Full power Sacred Beasts...

Basically, you have no real out to 80% of that deck, at least no outs that will close out games, which will lead to a loss because that deck has way more recursion than your stupid deck

Grand Mole, a one-of in the deck..., is your best one card out to Armityle and some of the beasts, but he's not good enough by himself. The Beasts will just recur til you can't out with a single normal summon.

The way I won was just luck into Neos Connector and Neos Fusion, summon the one you can summon with Neos and a lvl 4 monster. I ran into their set card with it to search for something for the next turn, and turns out that was finally enough to brick em. I almost won another duel til the CPU top decked the only out (I knew his hand was otherwise ass thanks to Aqua Dolphin)

The Crystal Beasts are just dead weight. You can summon the Fusion Rainbow Dragon with the trap card, but it really doesn't do enough before they out it with something ridiculous. It's a win con but it's not winning the duel by itself. You need some god hand of 1 CB, 1 of that trap that summons the fusion Rainbow Dragon, a Neos Fusion... and yeah those 3 should do it. Sadly I believe there's only 1 of that trap and 2 of Neos Fusion, so the chance of that is pretty low.

Konami's drunk intern strikes again with those loaner decks. I got lucky against the Sacred Beasts Deck somehow. Every turn they just set 1 pass. Love how the wincon on a lot of these SP duels is "hope the AI bricks" >_>

The moment when you reflexively linking into Striker Dragon and forget Masquerena's requirements.

'2 non-link monsters' requirement bites me in the ass more often than Borrelsword's 3+ effect monsters, somehow.

I somehow managed to complete the adventurer set pretty quickly in just 2k gems. Now I am gonna add that in my sky striker deck but I am not sure if I should make the deck 45 cards or just remove some cards and it keep it 40

I managed to fit both Adventurer and DPE into my going first Sky Striker deck while still keeping it at 40 cards, but it cost me most of my going second options so I'll probably find myself scooping a lot more if I lose the coin toss. My dedicated going second build still has neither of those engines for now, but I've considered putting the Adventurer stuff in there to open up more link plays.

I finished making my Sky striker deck and out of boredom, I am tempted to either make a Live/Evil Twin deck or a Charmer deck. Former because I've always been interested in them and latter mostly because I am flooded with their cards IRL.

There's some potential options for me to go there, at least. Also beyond my Sky Striker deck, I also made a Shaddoll/Invoked/Dogmatika deck, Toon deck, Eldlich/Traptrix deck, and Dragonmaid deck. I do want to make Floowandereeze as well.

But yeah. Been debating between the Twin or the Charmers for my next deck to make here. Master Duel has helped me scratch that deck building itch, at least.

That first one is sick. I like it. Maybe I am bias because I used to work with horses even though that one is half fish but I think that art is funny.

Second one is not ugly. Just bland. Also the description is funny to me. Like it is literally just a hand? Does the hand belong to anyone? Or is it just a floating hand?

Bro Im dying at that first one. He just looks so depressed and bored and is just shooting at the ground to entertain himself. That one is fantastic.

The fish is alright looking. Kinda dark but nothing inheritor terrible about it.

I do wish we could get an intentionally ugly archetype again like Ojamas.

Fought against a Marincess and on the losing ground (not helping my hand bricked and I played wrongly as usual).

Their Marbled Rock (sp?) has 4700 ATK with field spell and ATK boosting Marincess cards + 2 equip, and, being the only monster in their field, Buster Blader Dragon Destroyer w/ Buster Dragon can only manage 3800 ATK.

Then for some reason just before damage step they activated a Marincess quick effect.
That quick effect ss a Marincess to the board.
Buster Blader got another 1k to its ATK.
Marbled Rock rammed itself and died by the difference of 100 ATK.
They instantly scooped.

..I was so confused of that victory.

Honestly I think it was more of a mistake.

I've changed up my Paleo centric kitchen sink to use Auroradon combo instead of Baronne/Scythe. The big difference is that my hand actually has girth thanks to Hyper Librarian, which helps, since that improves my chance to get sanctum or any of the Paleos.

Yeah, that sounds like a "Yup.button" scenario.

So sometimes on the rare occasions I get enough monsters for an XYZ on the first turn, I can't summon it on that turn, specifically Norito. Again, first turn, nothing preventing special summons on my side, nothing activated on their side. I can summon my other XYZs first turn, no problem, but not this guy.

Are you using spellcasters?

Okay, so I absolutely get why Twins players were waiting (im)patiently for Trouble Sunny, because that card has done some fucking wonders for my deck. Currently 8-0 in Plat, although that may just be dumb luck from not hitting any Floos or either of the Adventure PK decks.

Just trying to rule out the simplest reasons first. Thought you might be trying to summon him with non-spellcasters. >_> Next time it happens can you post a screen-grab?

It's also possible that whatever cards you used to get bodies on the field locked you into certain summoning requirements, though I don't know enough about spellcasters to know what could cause that.

Nah, it's only Dark Magician Girl and/or Apprentice Illusion Magician. Fusion Deployment doesn't lock you out and Magicians' Soul(s?) doesn't lock you out either.

That is precisely my story with Keeper of Dragon Magic and Rokkets in general.

I had to pull Zoos out of my kitchen sink deck, which was a bit of a sad moment for me. But somehow it almost feels like Zeus isn't good enough due to the sheer number of continuous effects. Usually Zeus can chain to most negation but yeah not when the effects are continuous.

I dunno, maybe Zeus still can be used, but it's so difficult to lend space to it. Either I take away the Instant Fusion targets and decrease the extension potential of Halqi, or I play Zeus. The former just seemed better. I need to start fitting in Adventures one day

I also got trounced by a Floo deck, but I partially misplay, also drew 3 Sangans, while the other guy drew 3 fucking Book of Moons, which are better in your hand at 3 than 3 Sangans. I would've won with like 1 more Paleos over Sangans, but oh well

I keep misplaying with DragonMaids. My muscle memory says "summon monsters, click buttons", so I keep accidentally skipping my battle phase because I see all the dragons summon to the field at the start of the battle phase and then I go to Main Phase 2, lol.

Did have a grueling, 30+ turn duel against paleos. Lost, but it helped me learn a lot more about the deck. Worst thing is I probably could've won if I remembered to hold onto the red dragon. A 2000 atk boost during damage calculation after baiting an attack would've won me the game.

Been lucky so far that every duel I have against Floo had me going first. Really easy deck to read. They can skirt around negates but they can't do shit if you bounce/destroy their tribute fodder. >___>

During Fusion festival this actually happened lol.
A 3.5k Eldlich ramming into my House...but I purposely kept Kitchen dragon on hand during my turn previously and instead Eldlich rammed itself into a 5k House.

Kitchen is also good waifu. Too bad you mostly only run 1 (or even none...)
