Rabbit is really tasty. Also in terms of sustainability, they're vastly superior to other forms of meat.

We used to rabbit hunt when I was young. The dogs loved it. The meat we got was good too. One of my favorites.

The problem with rabbit is there really isn't a lot of meat on them unless it's a big ass rabbit.

Yeah I don't get it. I took my wife's family out to a fancy French place for her b-day. They had rabbit on the menu and her sister was like "ew I could never" so of course I had to order it myself

Um it literally just tastes like chicken, I didn't detect anything notable about it like I did with deer meat, which was pretty distinctive.

That doesn't sound right.

Also there's apparently a danger of worms or other diseases associated with eating rabbit especially if not properly cooked so I'd steer clear compared to turkey or even quail

I have been fishing, deer hunting, squirrel hunting, and grouse hunting too.

It is normal. I eat meat. I don't see why hunting your own is worse than factory slaughtered stuff.

Where I grew up in the rural mountains, deer hunting was important. Lots of lower income families could massively augment their food budget with them and other fresh animal meat. Just butcher and into the deep freeze. My dad would give deer kills away to the less fortunate. All of this is completely sustainable too.

I am cool with being a scumbag if hunting in the past makes me one. I just hold on to those fun memories out in the woods with dad, enjoying nature, laughing at our dopey hound dogs bay, and the tasty meals we got from it. If that is scumbag life, I'll take it!

Rabbit is surprisingly tasty. I had it for the first time in 1st grade during colonial day. A parent made rabbit stew, and I was like one of three kids that tried it.

Kind of funny how people's cultural tastes are heavily influenced even before 1st grade. But then again maybe kids are naturally picky.

My university served kangaroo once so I tried it. It was gamey in a way that beef/lamb isn't. Difficult to describe, but definitely tasty

I've not tried rabbit personally but my mum has when she was young. She said it was similar to chicken
