They're only small games, but the Subsurface games are pretty good. They're dialogue tree games by the same devs as Thomas Was Alone, I've played Subsurface Circular and I really enjoyed it. Night in the Woods is an absolute must-play as well. It's about 6 hours long, very character-focused and very atmospheric and poignant. --- People say friends don't destroy one another - what do they know about friends? You're a psychiatrist and you go into past patients' psyches to try to unravel a mystery surrounding a chemical that makes people fearful/paranoid. Has metroidvania elements. It has a few enemies every so often but you can sneak past them and they're not tough to kill Really a unique, well-made and just neat game. The premise is that you're investigating an old murder investigation using interrogation tapes from a woman named Hannah. The files were corrupted, so you can only watch short clips and you don't have a list of them. You can only find new clips by searching for key words. So as you go through the videos, you find new clues that you can search for to unlock new clips. Contradiction is an enjoyingly campy murder mystery. The only flaw is that they ran out of money, so the ending is a little abrupt. The Infectious Madness of Dr. Dekker has you taking the role of a psychiatrist taking on the practice of the late Dr. Dekker.
