Wtf I didn't even know/remember that Hercules spawned a show like the more successful renaissance movies.

I use to love that show.

Glad I got to see this as a kid. It is among the most poorly archived shows out there, but even as a kid I knew it was gold.

What bugs me about that scene is she doesn't mention they are siblings.

Wait Tarzan and TLK got shows? Also I wonder if we'll get more Disney movie shows in the future. Tangled and BH6 got some semi-recently, so maybe?

I was going to say that Hercules was one of the better ones. The Emperor's New Groove and Lilo & Stitch also had series but those seemed like a different era, even though they were just a few years after the others. Like 90s vs 00s style toons.

The Lilo and Stitch series was so dope, too. Every episode had a different Stitch-like alien variant with a new power. And that one yellow one that was always making crazy sandwiches.

In the myth, they would be half siblings but in Disney Hercules, they are full siblings since Disney made Hera his mom

I'm pretty sure I remember on the Kevin Sorbo show they said they were brother and sister.

Yeah. Great show. The episode with the tiki statue that's voiced by Mandark is the best.

Yeah that was one of the 90's Disney cartoons. Lots of things in those that went over kids' heads lol.

Jennifer Anniston is the girl that she brings to life in that same episode. Also, Sarah Michelle Gellar is in the same episode. It was a late 90s all star cast

Every Disney movie of the time got a show, in addition to a few slightly earlier movies. The weirdest example would be The Mighty Ducks. You know, the live action Hockey movie? They just kinda took the name and made a whole fictional universe about a dimension-hopping, spacefaring, humanoid Duck-Man race. Also they loved Hockey so much that all their army tech was Hockey-based. Rifles that shot explosive Hockey pucks, Hockey Sticks as scifi melee weapons, spaceships shaped like Hockey masks. Hockey masks made for Duck People. A central plot point was retrieving a super-advanced yet also somehow-mysterious artifact that was a Duck People Hockey Mask that had x-ray vision, among other things.

Also they just straight up had normal guns and swords, too.

I liked how they kept a jet hidden under the ice at The Pond in Anaheim.

It's a crossover, but it's an episode of Hercules. In terms of Aladdin, I think it's actually set after everything except the third movie.

It's actually after Aladdin 3. It doesn't make any sense with the timeline of Jafar's death, but Jasmine mentions that she's married in that episode.

I think the timeline does make sense with Jafar's death. There's just a really long line in the underworld.

But he cut the line, IIRC.

Because they needed an excuse for a crossover. Despite the two movies taking place in completely different eras.

BTW, Triton appears in an episode at one point, but he's not the one from The Little Mermaid. Missed opportunity, IMO. Granted the idea of Ariel's father being Herc's cousin would have some weird implications.

Hades is just the canonical afterlife of the Disney Cinematic Universe.

Disney used to adapt all of their movies into TV shows. Which most being great surprisingly enough.

Since you'd expect them to be soulless cash grabs or shovelware of sorts. But we're actually high quality ahows that stayed true to the characters, their universe, lore, and expanded on them in numerous ways.

Tarzan, and lilo n stitch being among the better ones in this regard. And buzz lightyear being a great spin off of toy story, and one of the best action shows of its time. I'd put it up there with Kim possible even.

Most of the good ones still aren't on Disney+, and it upsets me greatly.

BTW, while Lilo & Stitch the series is on there, what I'd really like to see is the Stitch! anime series. It was apparently localized (with some rewrites), but I never saw it on TV. There was also apparently some weird Chinese cartoon that officially takes place after Leroy and Stitch where he just ditches Lilo and lives with another girl in China.

Omg omg Mighty Ducks was my childhood! I mean yeah the 2 live action movies with the kids was certainly part of my childhood, but this right here... this was one of my favorite cartoons growing up. I loved Tony Jay from his roles in stuff like that (the voice of the cool wizard who was second in command to the big bad)

Now why did they have 2 properties called the mighty ducks that were pretty different, with one being anthropomorphic ducks in space? I never knew or understood why as a kid. As an adult I'm banking on the fact that ducktales was pretty big which led to a big boom of duck stuff on disney like Darkwing Duck, Quack Pack, and this (not to mention probably spearheading the golden age era of cartoons in the 90s)

But yeah I was obsessed with the show, had all the toys and everything. Had the leader's mask which was silver during hockey matches but then gold when they were on a mission. But of course my favorite by far was the eye patch dude with the sword.
