Kidney blockage. Had to have multiple surgeries

Myopia.

cancer. it sucked.

Liver replacement

Keratoconus.
I'm not at the corneal transplant stage yet, and should be able to lock down its advancement by the end of next year, then get glass contacts so I can actually see properly again. I consider myself pretty lucky when it comes to health issues. I don't think I'll ever die from my heart condition, it's just uncomfortable at times so meh, giving it to the degenerative eye disease lol

Which for me required surgery

Diverticulitis. Has 8 inches of colon removed and was 123lbs at one point.

Toss up between two. Glaucoma at age 12 or detached retina at 33. Both in the same eye.

Lacerated cornea, but regained vision.
High cholesterol
Panic attacks

All resolved at least. Nothing too major for me, although the anxiety almost crippled me to point I couldnt drive alone for a while.

Born with an extra disk in my spine. Kompletely unnoticed as a kid, mild discomfort as a young teen, situationally bad towards young adulthood, kurrently wishing I was never born.

Heart murmur, basically. I've had that since I was 17.

I'm 35 years old now and can't think of anything else I may have. All I take daily is a multivitamin.

I'm 35. Have had a herniated disc, which gave me a lot of pain for a while, but I generally don't have many issues with it anymore.

Had a twisted ankle a couple of years ago

Other than that, been pretty lucky with health stuff

high blood pressure, high cholesterol

Early onset arthritis, constant joint pain, IBS, GERD, and migraines with auras.
honestly my life only sucks because of them all together. Individually, its pretty manageable, but together, its always something in pain.
also Im still 29 so getting older is seeming ~not fun~

Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, still ongoing and probably will never be truly free of it.

Same, fuck me that hurt

Was trying to get in shape and my knees were hurting so much from rollerblading and running that I couldn't do it for a few years, now I've mostly recovered from that and it's my joints around my elbows that kept me from working out for a year.

I just want to be sexy damn it and my body won't let me exercise. So now I'm doing everything to practice precautions such as proper form, stretching, vitamins and proper amount of rest days

traumatic brain injury

I have some sort of arrythmia that doctors haven't been able to figure out yet. I'm constantly having PVCs, an extra beat or a skip, pretty much every minute or two.

Nothing else is really wrong with my heart physically, for now. Having these PVCs long term can weaken my heart muscles.

I'm actually seeing an electrophysiologist tomorrow finally. Hopefully we can get this settled soon.

Besides, that I have a pretty annoying hiatal hernia and tons of GI issues.

Minimal Change Disease

Basically a weird immune response in my kidneys led to some proteins not filtering properly and a bunch of fluid retention. By the time I got admitted to the hospital I had almost 60 pounds of edema throughout my body, scrotum was nearly the size of one of those mini basketballs. Diuretics to piss out all of that over the course of a few days and a couple months of taking steroids and I'm all good, but will technically always have the disease and it could flair up again at some point. 33 now, happened like 5 years ago.

Actually, a peritonsillar abscess might have been more immediately threatening and had me absolutely miserable, but that was a much quicker fix and I've since had my tonsils removed.

I'm 25.

Double inguinal hernia.

Second worst is GERD.

I dont really think Ive had any serious issues in my thirties. Ive had tons of injuries and sicknesses, but not since I turned thirty *knocks on wood*

Looked up my second thing and it apparently coulda been dangerous. Oh well it's gone now. Had 2 surgeries. First time they cut the biggest part out of my ass, WHILE I WAS AWAKE. I COULD FEEL BLOOD DRIPPING DOWN MY BAWLZ

currently going through some stomach pain that prevents me from getting a full nights sleep. it seems like it's GERD, i have a history of heartburn and such, but no GERD related solutions have worked and every test i take comes back looking like nothing is wrong.

Same here. Have they done an endoscopy? Do you know if you have a hiatal hernia?

I had an inguinal hernia, I can still feel the plug they put in there all the time.

I have a lot of emotional and mental problems and have constantly struggled with substance abuse and weight. Im in a really good place rn but I absolutely need to work much much harder to reinforce my position and make sure Im here for good cuz if I was me from a year ago? Damn, I would be hurtin

I have a hernia right above my belly button. No danger, just a little bulge. I've fat now, when I'm thinner it disappears and I don't think about it. But I gained COVID weight and now its obvious.

Gastroparesis perhaps?

It's quite difficult to Dx.

As for myself, never been injured or in need of any medication.

And yes, I'm quite grateful for this.

done an endoscopy and a ct scan. both came back good. if a hiatal hernia would be found there, then maybe it's not that.

Im 33 and some of this stuff is scaring me. I sort of wish some people would post stories of how the things happened so we can try to avoid them.

Depression

I'm 36. Worse ailment I've had is Lyme disease two years ago. Got diagnosed and treated early enough to prevent long-term issues. So, I've been pretty lucky that I haven't experienced much else thus far.

Kidney stones

I had a kidney stone once, shit was horrible

Severe panic attacks. It got to a point i had to be taken to emergency care because i was having convulsions. Loaded me up with Valium and prescribed me Xanax. I don't think i was ever really the same after those days.

Passed a kidney stone a few years ago-- I woke up feeling like I was dying.

Of accidental injuries, I tore the hell out of my ankle a decade ago.

High cholesterol. In my case, it's genetic so I'm on life-long meds.
