Board 8 > Good low priced Android tablets?

Never had a tablet, won't need a data plan. Just looking for something to stream and read on.

So far looking at the Lenovo M8 and the Galaxy A7.

Saw the Fire 8HD which is Real cheap, but has its own store which seems barebones and won't have the same freedom as am Android.

You can sideload Google Play onto the Fire tablet in about 10 minutes. I've done it for at least 4 Fire tablets and it works mostly like a normal tablet after doing that.

Cant beat the price, but it's still a low end tablet. Just for streaming and reading it will work fine, but expect it to chug a bit on webpages that take up a lot of memory.

To clarify, you'd still be running stuff on FireOS, right? Like if an app is supported on Android but not fireOS it won't run?

Fire 8 is kinda low res, unfortunately.

FireOS is android-based. I haven't tried installing a ton of apps on my Fire, but I haven't yet had any that don't work.
