My Ex Wife left me when I was a nothing basically in the 2008/2009 the housing crisis affected my job and my job had off shored to India. That same summer I got into a car wreck that almost killed me and I lost my fully loaded car. That same summer I got COVID-09 (The 2009 Version). She left me when I had nothing and the job pickings around here were all low wage positions and the most I could find was a crap min wage call center jobs for years. She left me on Thanksgiving Night of 2014 and finally left to go to Florida in Feb 2015. I started working on myself and the next thing you know one year later I was preparing to start a good government job that would help me get to where I needed to be. At the same time I discovered the weight gain that happened in 2009 was due to me having Hashimoto's hypothyroidism. My ex wife fell apart shortly after she blew up, lost most of her hair and now has no tits. She made me feel like I would not be able to find anyone when she left, but after I took a year to figure myself out after 2015 it my bed was always warm with someone younger and pretty then her. I've managed to save and invest a lot of money, but given high housing valuations, I'd be living beyond my means just by moving out (I live in Southern California). On paper, I've made a lot of progress.
