Do you not eat meat? Is this a vegan topic? Cause otherwise, I don't think you thought very far into this. If they bought meat the way we did, they'd be supporting slaughterhouses that have animals that never even got a shot at life. But if they go out and kill their own, they're not supporting that economy and they're actually eating animals that at least got to breath freely and grow up outdoors.

There are a lot of good reasons to hunt, and I doubt that many hunters consider the joy of killing to be high on the list.

The real barbarians are those who denounce hunting but happily support the modern meat industry.

In fact, my wife was considering going vegan except for meat that was hunted in the wild.

They save money and prevent overpopulation via hunting. There wouldn't be families and entire regions of people who primarily hunt for food if it wasn't cost effective.

Because it's dumb to assume people like the killing part when it's an action that has direct benefits.

Do you love going to the grocery store? Or do you just love having your house full of food?

It's a wild generalization. Why not look at hunters as individuals?

Humans have killed off too many predators, so without hunters the deer population would get really out of control.

I personally wouldn't go hunting, but there are legitimate reasons for it.

Now, if you want to shit on the rich, egomaniac 'big game' hunters that go to Africa to shoot elephants, then I'd agree & say fuck those people.

Where I live there are absolutely people who rely on hunting deer and boar for food as a necessity. It's a small, low income poverty stricken mountain town with a ton of woods and not a lot of people.

I'm a hunter. I love the thrill of the hunt as well as the bounty of meats I get in the end. There are like 50 different types of meat product you can get out of a deer and most of them are great.

That and mounting their heads as a trophy or posing with the deer when you finally drop it.

Hunters need to restrict the body count of certain species because they could cause great damage and/or overrun their ecosystem
