On my PC i can choose any song and just... listen to it.

On my phone, I can search a specific song and hit play, and it just gives me some random song that's sort of kind of similar to the one I wanted.

No, I'm not going to pay the premium price just to make my phone app do what my PC already does for free.

It is that way to make you want to pay. Only reason PC app isn't like that is because they don't give a shit about it.

it's TERRIBLE

There used to be a way around that, but they finally fixed it a couple years ago. You used to be able to just add a single song to a playlist and then just play the playlist, but now they add similar songs to the playlist as well.

I have a lot of subscriptions already that are way more valuable to me. $10 isn't a lot, but $10 fourteen times a month for all the different premiums and pluses starts to add up.

Only reason I even opened it on my phone at all was because I heard a cool song in the radio and wanted to look it up and add it to my playlist. But I was instantly reminded why I don't use the mobile app anymore

Yeah, I only use Spotify on my PC. I save music onto my phone and listen to it through a music app instead

yeah I dont think theres a single thing I pay for I get more value from than a streaming service subscription

Especially when you compare it to the old rates of $0.99/song download, or $10-$20 per album, Spotify is so worth it

Spotify on my phone just stops mid song/podcast even when I'm in a wifi hotspot.

Also a couple days ago it completely forgot my log-in info. I started making a new account so I could listen to my Spotify only podcasts but said fuck it.

Hours later I was able to log in again.

I don't pay for Spotify. Never will.

I wish theyd add the "Enhance Playlist" option thats on mobile to PC

Just pay for it. It's dirt cheap and you won't have to deal with adds or lack of Wi-fi

Nah. On principal I won't reward product design that's intentionally user unfriendly. It's designed to make people want to subscribe so they can use the working version of the app... which means they're intentionally giving me a frustrating and inferior product.

Same reason I won't pay for youtube premium despite the recent increase in two 15 second unskippable ads back to back.
