Came so close to buying this one a bunch of times but couldn't talk myself into it.

Jodi Gear Solid is really the only memorable thing about the game because of how ridiculous it was. Good performance from Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe but the story was just not very good.

People give Quantic Dream games a lot of shit (some of it deserved, but not all of it) but I really enjoyed the story, and the three main performances really helped deliver it

It's trash, confusingly plotted, incredibly well acted at times which just makes the issues stand out more, has creepy implications both in and out of the story, and is among the most formulaic of Quantic's games... but damn, it lives in my brain rent-free for the amount of bafflingly dumb moments in it. Absolutely a schlock favorite, and it just keeps hitting with stupid plot beat after stupid plot beat so it doesn't drag half as much as earlier Quantic games (hi Indigo).

Messy messy messy. Lacks coherent focus. Some parts of the story DRAG. But damn I do sort of like the "road trip" adventure of it. And the high-concept creepiness is interesting if lacking proper execution.
