I'm wondering if paying 340 a month for a low mileage 2017 Mercedes is a stupid idea.

I know now is the worst possible time to buy a car but my household's second car is just too old and we need 2 cars.

Been driving cheap brand cars all my life. Want to finally change it up and try a luxury brand with automatic transmission.

Or if I should just get another cheap car and hold out 2 more years. But then, don't know what happens in the future with all the electric cars coming

I paid mine off in December so just insurance now. I got a lot of work done on it last year as I'm just over 100k miles so new transmission and belts/hoses. I'm hoping that with that work done I can keep riding this thing with no car payments for a while until I have to get another one. My note was around $300/mo and it was a 3 year loan.

If you're looking to take out a loan try not get one that's too long, the length of the loan is just as important as your monthly rate. If you have to get a 72 month loan to get your notes down, it better be brand spanking new to where it will reasonably last you that long and GAP insurance is a must. Otherwise it's not really worth it imo
