Untouchables is the only other album that would contend, but theres a couple songs on there I dont care for so IMO; Issues is their last consistently good album from start to finish

C/D?

C, but I do like some of Untouchables and See You on the Other Side, and Issues has a bunch of filler tracks.

i consider them to be skits and dont really detract from the overall album

SYOTOS is pretty whack overall,if anything, TALITM is the better album

I suppose. Dead and For You are really good for being short filler tracks. But the others I could do without.

I was actually surprised to find out many years after the fact that they released an album between Untouchables and SYotOS. Don't think I've ever actually listened to. SYotOS isn't a great or even good album, but I like the finisher, Tearjerker, and I kind of like Love Song as well.

I don't even remember what their last album was that I liked, other than the fact that I was still in high school at the time. I'm not about to go listen to their stuff again to remember which was what, but I will say I recall their lead guitarist leaving to do the whole born again Christian thing and the group was never the same since.

I had no idea Korn even put out so many albums. I thought there were like 3-4 tops, maybe a live or greatest hits in there somewhere.

The year I graduated from high school, and the friends of mine who listened to Korn either also graduated and coincidentally outgrew the band or dropped out and uhh... I've lost contact with every one of them rather quickly, but they were still listening to Korn's older stuff like it were gospel at the time? *shrugs*

I see your problem.

You have "Korn" and "good" in the same sentence.

I was gonna say, I "grew out of" korn too, but their self-titled is a classic and seminal alt-rock/metal album of the 90's that one doesn't exactly "grow out of" if they were actually into it to begin with.

Because by then there were far too many shitty mainstream nu metal acts and no innovation happening anymore. That's when even shittier second wave metalcore(AKA melodic metalcore) became the next big thing. Now there's a revival of sorts in the form of a nu metal/hardcore fusion, which I think is pretty fucking awesome. Vein.fm is one band that was clearly influenced by bands like korn, deftones, and slipknot, not just in sound but aesthetic too. Enjoy nu metalcore:

I saw em live in concert in the Bay area somewhere in the early 90's. They opened for Metallica, and Metallica had to use their equipment cause theirs blew up lol.

They did Shutes and Ladders and a few other songs. I didn't really follow em much after that though, but they actually sounded a bit better than Metallica cause they were used to their equipment. Worst Metallica concert I went to, there was a HUGE difference in equipment between the bands.
