Hitler started out at least somewhat competent with his blitzkrieg strategy, but I also think he got into amphetamine use during the war which fried his brain?

I mean.. Interviewing Hitler would be pretty interesting.. You can also just kill him after the dinner.

He actually was not a military genius. He was like Trump. He thought he was a genius, and never listened to others

It is possible we could have lost the war, if he had been more competent. Or if someone smarter was in his position.

Did Hitler speak English? Because I certainly don't speak German, so there'd be no point having him over for dinner. I guess I could use one of my other two people to have a translator over for dinner as well, but that just seems like a waste. There are more interesting people out there. I think I know all I really need to know about Hitler.

Himmler, Goebbels, Mengele and Eichmann could all be considered more evil.

It was definitely a group of absolutely sadistic fucks. I think Mengele bothers me the most since there was a more personal element to his experiments.

But ummmm, Hitler wasn't a genius. Like he had a decent understanding of some particular aspects of larger strategy but tactically he was trash.

Of his two major succeses the fall of Poland was against an enemy that was materially inferior and unprepared and the fall of France was a souped up version of the Schlieffen plan from WW1 that was designed by Manstein and commanded by Von Runstedt.

It was Hitler's specific choice to change targets from RAF infrastructure to civian targets that cost him the battle of Britain. It was his choice to divert Guderian's panzers from the center to help liquidate the Kiev pocket that cost him Barbarossa (among other things, but if there is a specific point at which he lost the Eastern Front that was it).

Hitler was nothing more than a master of words and riling up support. If you want to talk to a military genius, go talk to Napoleon.

It would be interesting to see how uncomfortable Hitler would be in his scenario, being the only white man at the table (please no MJ jokes).

Neither did Guderian. The roots of blitzkrieg strategy were laid by Hans von Seeckt and Oswald Lutz, and Guderian just applied those tactics in battle.

It certainly didn't hurt that he was also in a position to write a bunch of nonsense self-promotion after the war.

I don't think any answer Hitler would give as to why he oversaw genocide and destruction on a global scale would be all that illuminating.

I've often wondered about it. I am not sure what is worse, being racist or not being racist but acting racist for a goal.

Hitler was only good at appealing to a crowd and intimidating people who worked for him. He was awful with the military. I think the most notable failure was Hitler's "superweapon", the V-3. A big expensive cannon, mismanaged every single step of the way from planning to testing to construction to trials. Never used in combat because it exploded.

By then, they were already pushed out of North Africa, the allies established a beach head in Northern France and Italy, and the Soviets were pushing from the East.

The war was already lost even while Rommel was alive

Blitzkrieg wasn't his strategy nor did he contribute much to military in general. he basically just delegated all the responsibilities to other people and focused mostly on public appearance and negotiating with other countries.

He's not even a genius orator. He's more like Tucker Carlson. You wouldn't call Tucker Carlson a genius and neither was Hitler. It doesn't take a genius to appeal to the dumbest of the fucking dumb dumbs with racism.

I didn't want to say it but yes they are similar, Trump even admitted to the Mein Kamf by his bedside thing and obviously all that was true and he modeled himself on Hitler.

Hitler horribly crippled the German army in WWII. He cost them far more often than he contributed to a solid strategy.
