Played a good chunk yesterday and had more fun than my first session. Switching between pistol, shotgun, and rifle for the Deadeye is a lot of fun even if some of the skills feel super overpowered compared to others.

There's one skill where you flair your guns in a circle and it completely wrecks the entire room on a 10 or 12 second cooldown. I don't have numbers but I'm thinking like 5000 damage as an example. Then there's another skill I unlocked at level 26 where he just fires his gun twice and it does like 400 damage. It has a 6 second cooldown but the power disparity between these two skills is very confusing, especially because the weak skill didn't unlock until 26.

But I'm having a good time so far so whatever. Also this game runs better on my PC than Diablo 2 Resurrected which is pretty sad. That game is optimized so poorly it's painful.

Been playing this and while I don't play deadeye my guess is the other skill has addiitonal effects. Like some skills can counter, some do a lot of break or weakpoint damage (both needed for bosses). Also some skills need upgrades to be useful

It looks like if you completely max it out then you can get 100% crit chance but that still seems pretty bad:

But Deadeye has 3 skill bars: Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun. So you don't really need to be be as selective with your skill choices as some of the other classes I think. So even weak damage on a short cooldown isn't too bad I guess

Started playing today. Bard is cool. The class try out option was awesome. What a great feature.

Kind of overwhelmed by achievements and menus but the game seems kind of cool

I will say, this one component of the game is amazing. The devs are very interesting in giving you the chance to properly step into the game, between all the class try-out options and the ample accessibility options.

I just got to Luterra Castle and I can officially say that this game has too much shit going on. Yes that should have been already obvious to anyone who has played this game but Luterra Castle is when it transitioned from "a lot" to "overwhelming".

Also I played a round of PVP and it was awful. I realize I'm playing against people who actually know what they're doing with real PVP builds but I can't stress enough how awful it was. We got dominated for the entire match and my team lost 10-3.

I'm sure our opponents were bronze trash but it felt like being matched against CS:GO pros in your first match. I'm amazed they don't have some sort of newbie queue or even pit you against bots for 10 matches or something because honestly it made me never want to touch PVP again. That single experience kinda soured me on the whole game for the rest of the night actually!

So, Im not sure Im going to play again, and I think it just revolves around the nature of a F2P mmo.

I just dont think thats the sort of game I want to play on my computer. I know if I get into it then Ill feel pressure to pop in every day, and thats the sort of thing that is fine if I can do it eating breakfast or in the bath but Im not sure Im comfortable with if I have to drag my computer out and login

I want to like this game, but I feel like its just not practical

I find myself closing the game with a sour taste in my mouth but then the next day rolls around and I want to play it again.

Completing quests and watching numbers go up can be pretty satisfying even when it's boring as hell. I do wish this leveling process was a LOT shorter though.

Do the 6 way FFA mode for a bit before you give up imo. It's a better introduction to get your feet wet

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

Yeah after watching some videos I'm realizing my mistake of picking one of the most complicated classes as my starting class (Deadeye).

I seriously considered picking Gunslinger. Is it really that complicated?

I mean it doesn't look impossible but it seems like you'll end up working 3 times harder than easier/simpler classes for the same damage.

A typical combo might have you switching between all 3 of your stances quickly so you need to add 3 or 4 more buttons into the combo versus other classes.

Just hit level 46 or 47, chopping down mushrooms or something and I realized that I'm just not enjoying this game.

Probably going to uninstall so I can completely stop the urge to keep playing because as boring as this game is there's something addicting about all of these dumb quests and leveling up.

But I asked myself why I'm playing this game and I didn't have an answer so time to stop!
