Is Beverly Hot?

19 y/o Beverly Zu, aka Zhu Yi the American Born Chinese figure skater who gave up being an American to compete for China was seen Sobbing Uncontrollably after her flop at the Olympics where she fell BOTH times during the team event and then again on the women's short program with dismal numbers as she's being blasted on social media from BOTH americans and chinese citizens!

She competed for China after switching allegiances but finished last at the Beijing Capitol Indoor Stadium when she failed to land 2 jumps and fell on her combination..

It triggered backlash on social media critiquing her performance and raising questions if her selection knocked China out of the team medals and if she was olympic level ready

She's now facing scorn on both sides calling her a disgrace and americans calling her a hack because she couldn't compete in america so she switched sides and called her a TRAITOR.

She was already criticized for her poor mandarin skills but some members of the chinese public urged sympathy and that she represented "China"

One man who told reuters that "As long as she represents China, or no matter which country she reprsents, even though she fell down, we have to be tolerant. There should be no politicization and narrow-mindness to treat this matter, sportsmanship must come first"

Hu Xijin, a prolific commentator said he hopes that some people will stop humiliating themselves and their country without any bottom line and defended the teen who was born and raised in the US by a chinese immigrant family

China has staffed some olympic sports with foreign-born players such as its ice hockey teams for the games to raise the country's prospects as one bright spot, american born Eileen Gu aka Ailing Gu is expected to medal as she too is criticized by Fox's Tucker Carlson for her betrayal

Since China is the host country, they can automatically get a figure skating spot without the person having the needed scores. Her competing did not take a spot from someone else. (This happened in South Korea last time too. The pairs team didn't qualify for a spot but was allowed to compete since the Olympics were held there.)

China probably didn't have a lady skater, but needed one for the team competition. China has generally been pretty weak in the ladies division.

Its horrible she is being made fun of online for following her dream. I used to follow Ice skating so I know how the selection process is. (Skaters changing nationalities isn't uncommon either. )
