Less anti vaxxers in society = more healthy people. If it takes their death to achieve that, then fine. I am weary of this pandemic. And it's been proven those idiots have caused the mutations. We need stricter mandates.

Watch out, someone is going to call you a MAGA for pointing out that Biden actually hasn't been handling the pandemic very well. Over a year into his presidency and we aren't actually that dramatically better off than we were a year ago despite a vaccine plus boosters being readily available.

Though to be fair, the societal costs to maintaining covid zero are extremely high and the pro shutdown people don't like acknowledging that. Combatting covid is basically pick your poison and try not to lose by as much as possible. There is no such thing as winning this battle.

So yeah I know what is coming and I am very used to it.

But I guess part of the issue here is that not everyone being critical of the antivax movement is trying to convince them to change.

Many are just venting at them. Some of that will be in frustration at how futile it is trying to convince them of anything they don't already have their minds set on.

Where do you go when the default reply to overwhelming evidence and support by experts in their field is petulant dismissal and pointing fingers at a nebulous and sinister "Them"?

How do you pull someone out of the rabbit hole when they're fighting tooth and nail to go in further?

Great questions and unfortunately I nor does anyone else it seems really has the answer to that.

I can certainly understand the anger and the frustration with covidiots. I'm gone off on a few myself. I just don't do it anymore, because it has obviously gone nowhere.

It seems that all you can really do is be civil and make your arguments as clearly as you can. If the covidiot gets super defensive or aggressive then you just need to walk away and not try to reason with a fool.

I'm not being naive. I don't think there really is much convincing you can do with covidiots.

I'm pointing out that yelling and screaming at covidiots is about you fulfilling a personal need to vent at someone and does absolutely nothing beneficial to the bigger picture of moving past covid.

You can recognize that one thing (publicly shaming covidiots) simply does not help without having a real solution to this.

Even so, there are still people getting vaccinated for the first time right now. There are many cases of a family member dying of covid and that convinces the rest of the family to get vaccinated.

So many people refer to this as being purely futile, but we have been seeing marginal increases in vaccination rates.

Also, you're very clearly misconstruing my statement into a straw man. I never said nothing can be done about anti vaxxers. There is a very big difference between what you said and me saying "there will always be a certain percentage that refuses vaccination" just as a statement of reality.
