The President is being friendly with his fellow American on the other side of the political aisle, and theres nothing wrong with that.

This guy made sure it was harder for black people to vote. Yes there is something wrong with being nice to him.

McConnell is terrible, but we desperately need the political hostility levels to go down in this country. This is a good thing. Antagonizing your enemies only works if you can actually destroy them, otherwise you're simply making people you're forced to deal with try even harder to screw you.

He could have just said nothing

I think you can be polite at a prayer breakfast without saying something you can't back up, like calling him a "man of honor"

And many liberals still defend this. I swear, too many have watched too much of The West Wing and it has warped their minds.

Yeah, I'm sure if we act nice and respectful to Republicans they'll realize the error of their ways and stop being pure evil. I roll my eyes so much and so hard at comments like this that I think they're going to fall out.

We're currently in the middle of another judge selection, so, by doing that all over. Biden has included McConnell in the process specifically to avoid that happening again. No wonder he's taking right now to butter him up.

Politics is hostage negotiation, dude. It's not about being nice and changing people, it's about creating a climate where the bad guy is less likely to shoot somebody in the head. Radicalization is bad and you're making it worse.

But they're going shoot the hostage regardless. I'm not being "radical". I'm being realistic. You can never trust Republicans ever to do the right thing nor can you negotiate with them. They'll just get their ransom money and then shoot the hostage in the head every time.

Every conservative in this topic isn't buying the shit they're saying. They love Biden doing this because they know they will continue to take advantage of this one-sided cooperation. It's like a bully being so happy that everyone is giving him their lunch money without him asking.

Republicans don't see Biden as a friend and ally. They see him as a fool they can take advantage of.
