Here in Florida, it is common for neo-Nazis to just have gatherings in broad daylight (sadly). It got me thinking, if I saw some car run over them and drive away, I'm not sure if I'd call 911. Does that make me a bad person for not doing that?

Doesn't make you a bad person. I think I might, though. They could have dependents, and also they'd have to seethe over having their life saved by a minority.

That's not actually am inconsistency. You can believe that you would personally take a choice that should not be a standard of law. I wouldn't enforce sobriety by law just because I don't drink.

I'd say it's pretty morally inconsistent if you believe that even murderers are entitled to lifesaving medical treatment in prison, but someone deserves to be left to die on the sidewalk because he was waving around a placard you don't like.

If you believe that we still have a duty to save the life even of a convicted murderer, then you've got a duty to save the life of a neo-Nazi dickhead who got hit by a car.

Probably less of a conundrum if you don't give a shit about letting convicted murderers die, I suppose. But then we still have to sort out the hierarchy of exactly whose lives are and aren't worth saving. Convicted rapists yes, neo-Nazi protesters no? See, I'm just wondering here if we're really going to decide that someone deserves to die for holding terrible, shitty beliefs but not for doing terrible, shitty things.

Probably. I have too much empathy and would feel like shit if I let a person suffer regardless of how much I dislike them. There are some things I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
