They put out a game, what, every 10 years? And Gran Turismo hasn't really been relevant since at least the PS2.

I honestly never got why people loved the ps2 era games so freaking much.

I always preferred arcade racers, which pretty much died.

Gran Turismo 3 was the game that made me love simulation racers. I had so much fun with that game. The license tests really helped my skills with the simulation physics. Music was great, the tracks were varied and there was a ton of cars to unlock and race with.

I even had a rivalry going with one of my neighbors at the time. We realized that winning the endurance races were how you unlock the F1 cars. It was a grind (2-3 hours to finish one of those races), but after, we'd meet up and go "You'll never beat me now. I unlocked a better F1 car!"
