The vast majority of his wages were sent to his parents (who had kicked him out of the house) because that was part of the program that was meant to keep these guys honest. Wouldn't want them to waste the cash on frivolous things after all. He left the CCC directly for the Army and he was sent to North Africa, Sicily, France, and Germany to fight the Nazis. So no.
