Yeah, Iron Man, Cap and Strange were actually extremely popular in the 90s. I remember people went crazy when they showed up in the Spider-Man TAS crossovers. Same with the F4 and Hulk.

Still, Spider-Man and Wolverine (and the X-Men) alone were just another level of popularity back then.

Hulk too, he was a cultural icon at that point.

You're right. He was even bigger because the show wasn't some targeted superhero show. Everybody used to watch it and he's referenced all over 80s and 90s media.

I hope it is good, but that Superman walk through a hail of bullets makes me very worried. Thats not Batman. Thats Superman.

It's very Batman. He wears bulletproof material all the time, and that slow intimidating ealk under fire us exactly how I see him doing it.

No it is not Batman. Not even a little. He does not wear bulletproof materials all over his body. He only wears bulletproof materials on his chest and bullet resistant armor else where or less cause he prefers mobility. Batman never, ever walks through a hail of bullets. He dodges to the side, uses his cape, goes for cover, or uses a gadget. Batman is human and humans dont walk through a hail of bullets unless they wear a suit of power armor that covers everything.

Batman does what Batman needs to do. There's nothing wrong with that depiction. Him wearing armor is MUCH better than him dodging bullets.

He's not necessarily a second string superhero, but RDJ basically remade Ironman to be more mainstream friendly. Now almost every iteration of Tony Stark/Ironman all act like RDJ's character. It's one of those cases where a reinterpretation of a character helped made them more popular.
