Do you have experience running gurps (or any game)? I assumed you did because newbies to the hobby generally haven't heard of gurps before.

Or is the problem organizing a group?

I have experience with RP, I guess it's political if that translates to tabletop for everyone. I know gurps is just a general format/system, I haven't taken a good look at it but I'm not sure about how hard it is to get involved.

Organizing groups is definitely the problem.

I'm looking over the gurps rulebook. Its a pretty rules heavy system. Between the character creation and game rules, we're talking almost 600 pages. That said there's a basic version of it called GURPS lite that you may want to consider.

As far as organizing groups go, why not post a topic and see if anyone's actually interested?

Like, trying to accomplish the goal without paying attention to the narrative. So if there is a major evil the party rushes to kill the evil, but maybe doesn't do anything additionally like set up possibilities for continuation.
