51 y/o Cherly McCormack, a DoorDash driver and mother of 3 was shot dead by robbers after her car broke down during a delivery and she REFUSED to hand over her VALUABLES to them!!

She was killed at 2:20am in the 3900 block of White Avenue by 2 thieves in a "robbery gone bad"

She was having car troubles and stopped at the side of the road as another man who was driving with her told her grieving husband that one of the robbers shot her in cold blood after she refused to hand over her valuables

It's unclear what the relationship between the man and McCormick was but she was one of 6 people killed over the weekend

It's also unclear how much was stolen or what valuables were taken and the police tells dailymail they can't disclose any of that information

DoorDash employees are allowed to have passengers in the car but they can't make deliveries for them and are subject to a background check

Her husband said "My guess is my wife can be stubborn and she wasn't going to give up her money and cellphone after working all those nights"

He said his focus is now on his 3 kids who said "I have 3 kids, my 2 oldest are helping me out tremendously. I have a 19 y/o and he's in shock. And then, i have my brother in law, who's my left army and that's how we look at it"

Her brother in law Mike Zellhoffer asks everyone to please be kind to someone who can give you nothing in return because that is the life Cheryl lived who had a heart of gold

Her husband said he was married to her for 24 years but separated though stil lived together in the suburb of Nottingham and described her as a trained paralegal who was in between jobs and had 3 kids and a grandson who worked doordash to make extra money for the family

wheni lived in the hood i would keep my real wallet in my shoe and carried a fake wallet with me to hand over. put 2 singles in there and some old memberships cards to make it look real.

yah cause sadly if you try the whole "haha joke's on you i don't have anything!" they shoot you anyway for not having anything.

Those scum need to be captured and locked up.

Giving up your posessions and yielding to criminal demands is no guarantee that you'll be safe from injury, or that they'll even spare your life. Also it rewards them and validates the criminal's behavior. However your life is worth more than almost any worldly posession. Anyone who is willing to threaten and kill over these things is morally bankrupt and if they catch you in a compromised situation and are armed with a gun it's probably best to yield and convincingly stall while searching for a good opportunity to turn the tables, but even then you can't do that for long, because it'll likely anger them and increase the chances of them taking it out on you. Damn shame this poor woman got robbed of her posessions and her life by no good thugs.

I think the only time I wouldn't comply is if they were trying to move me to a different location. Probably best to assume they're planning to kill you at that point.

The fake wallet idea is a good one though.
