27 y/o Crystal Hernandez, an unvaccinated Texas Mother of 6 has died after contracting COVID-19 causing pneumonia less than 2 weeks after she had to undergo emergency C-Section at 25 weeks pregnant before she could ever hold her youngest son

She caught the virus on New Years Day and succumbed to the disease last week when she and her husband went against the vaccine for due to uncertainty and RELIGIOUS REASONS and said GOD would NOT approve of it!!

Rico said "Me and my wife, we talked about it. She was pregnant and so she had some concerns. It all happened so fast and it was being pushed on us very fast and she didn't want it. She didn't feel comfortable and refused to let any of us get it so i wasn't going to go against her wishes"

Now her newborn son, Koda is in intensive care while Rico says he is doing very well

Although his older kids know their mother is no longer with them, their youngesr 3 y/o son still asks when she is coming home from the hospital and he had to tell him that "mommy is an angel now, she's watching over you"

In what was her last moment of consciousness, Crystal was told that her son was born healthy and the procedure was a success but almost immediately afterwards she was sedated and intubated as her conditioned worsened.

Rico said she never woke up after that and those news were the last she heard before her last breath

They tested positive for the virus after new years when they went to a PARTY and days later Crystal, while still pregnant, started feeling chest tightness and breathing heavily as she lost her breath.

She was hospitalized and her doctor said she was improving throughout but then it turned to the worse before she was put on a ventilator

Rico gave her one last hug and it would be the last time he did while she was alive.

His oldest child, Sophia wants him to share their mother's story telling him she wants people to know who she was

Rico said "I tell my babies to be proud of their mom because she was very strong and she fought until the very end who is now an Angel and in God's Kingdom"

A Gofundme was started that raised more than 20,000 for the family

If she refused to let her family get vaccinated then she's not a good person, you just can't control other people because of your own views or agenda.. so fucked up

She put her kid in danger. She clearly didn't care about them.

If only there were something she could have done to significantly reduce the difficulty of the fight she was in.

It sucks that she left behind an entire family of people, but she died for a ridiculous reason.

How do you have 6 kids by age 27 these days. I mean, maybe in the 1800's when girls got married at like 15.

My Wife's second cousin died from Covid at 29 years old recently and left behind 3 kids. Super sad, it was a similar story to this girl. I don't really blame her too much. She probably had her entire family and friend circle brainwashing her telling her not to get the vaccine. Blame them instead.

It's all part of gods plan.

It's tragic that children are left without a mother. It's sad how easily her death might have been avoided. On a personal level, I'm a little annoyed that she had to lump God in with this.

It's frustrating. There's simply no excuse. People don't die from the vaccine. They die from the virus. The "Guinea pig" argument is the worst one of all. Yes, it's a new vaccine. That's because it's a new virus. They didn't wait 20 years to test the long-term effects of the polio vaccine either. They saved lives as soon as they could. If we waited two decades to release the COVID vaccine, there might not be a population left to vaccinate.

I get the hesitation with pregnancy this is not even like making a hard decision with a pet, it's your own offspring. The "lesser of two evils" approach kinda goes out the window even though this ultimately cost them more than a healthy newborn.

imo this is exactly where she messed up. You have to at least pick one or the other - Vax or Max isolation - especially when pregnant. She went "neither" and brought this upon her entire family now.
Hope her husband changes tune now.

Hopefully the rest of the family gets vaxxed

Sadly having so many kids close together was probably what made her susceptible. The thought is that it takes 2 years for a womans body to recover all the vitamins & minerals you expended while carrying the baby. You have a bunch of kids, you are just not at your top immune system.

This is seriously so damn frustrating reading shit like this. It could have seriously been prevented. Newborn's life was put at risk. Newborn now will never know the mother. Several kids will now have to live without their mother.

i thought that at first, but it says she was 25 weeks pregnant when she died

which means she didnt know she was pregnant until the middle of august, which means she had ample time to get vaccinated before knowing

she was just an anti-vaxxer using pregnancy as an excuse

No, the studies have been out for months now. Unvaccinated pregnant women face more challenges than vaccinated pregnant women. Period. The evil thing is choosing to die for this.
