I liked the themes of war corrupting whoever takes part in it, as well as the fact that there are circumstances where no decision is an objectively good decision: consequences can and will come back to bite you in the ass My biggest criticism of it is the name. Even calling it something like 'Advance on Titan' (and accordingly, the Advance Titan) would have fit better, as well as been a better localisation imo A lot of the characters on both sides were great. My favourite main character was probably Mikasa, and my favourite side character Willy Tybur The ending...I know it was controversial. I personally thought it was good. It wasn't the ending I would have gone for, but it makes sense.
