I think since Black and White Pokemon has normally had everything leaked like a month before release. It's less than two weeks and nothing from what I've seen has come out. Inb4 the game is empty so nothing to leak.

We're in the window where street-date breaks are going to happen.

It's more of a spinoff than a remake or new mainline game, without 50-100 new Pokemon there's probably not much to leak.

It's literally a mainline game as stated by the Pokemon Company. We have the "core" series "Let's go" and now "Legends"

Core=mainline. Anything else is a spinoff of the mainline core series. Talking regular English here, not whatever terms Nintendo comes up with to make people more comfortable buying spinoffs.

The Main Series is a term often utilised by people to differentiate the core traditional Pokmon games with the various Spin-Off and App titles that were given. While many believe it a fan term, it has a root in official terms with the "Pocket Monsters Series" () being the official Japanese term for these games
These games are traditionally, albeit not exclusively, developed by GAME FREAK and help drive the Pokmon franchise forwards. They can also sometimes connect with various Spin-Off titles to get bonuses or even receive Pokmon into the Main Series titles
In recent years, there have been twists in the Main Series games that branch it out to different subseries. These are still officially counted as main series titles, but offer slight twists on the gameplay.

Game freak has only made one spin off game before and it was Pokemon quest or something.

Game freak devoted a Dev cycle to this game and it has full connectivity with home. The gameplay continues their experimentation with placing roaming Pokemon in wide natural areas that they've been playing around with in the past two mainline games, SS and LGPE.

Whether you want to call it core or mainline or whatever doesn't matter, the point is this is not some trifling side gig they churned out and will forget when it's done. Game freak will continue to iterate on the ideas in this game even if they decide not to make an explicit sequel.

I haven't bought a Pokmon game since Pokmon X because it was the first 3D (Double 3D lol) Pokmon game.

I decided to get this one.

My life doesn't depend on this game like it does for some other people so I'm not gonna freak if it's bad. It's just 60 dollars.

Is it on phones? I'm behind on consoles. I just got a Wii U

At this point, it seems to me that the fanbase wants GameFreak to be a bold, ambitious studio that wants to push boundaries with what Pokemon can be. That will push scope, fidelity, narrative, whatever instead of incremental changes on a base that has not fundamentally changed.

GameFreak clearly just doesn't want to do that. They want to do what they know how to do and avoid overreaching. And I respect that.

BDSP leaked 2 weeks before release date. Were within a week from it happening again most likely.

The fans also want every single feature from every past game included as well. God forbid you trim some fat.

Anyway, it'll be funny if all the sort of rumoured and speculated stuff like more regional variations or evolutions just... don't exist. We get the game and the starters have the same final evos, there aren't any new or regional pokemon we haven't seen, and they've essentially shown us everything already.

I mean it'll suck, but also kinda funny.
