I've never listened to a single one of his podcasts.

He's just as dumb as about half the population.
He's a dumb guy who got successful and has a platform to spout his dumb shit.

Nutshell: Rogan will talk to literally anyone he finds interesting, doesnt matter what side of the political or social spectrum they fall.

Pretty much everyone else, especially mainstream ones, are too afraid of rocking the boat by offending someone and then losing their sponsorships. I dont think Rogan gives a fuck about the establishment for the most part. This makes it interesting for the rest of us to watch because youre not just diving into an echo chamber like with everyone else. Also, his podcasts can go into more depth because theyre often two or more hours long.

Stupid people being given a reason to look down on others. They feel like they're in the know, like, for the first time in their lives, they are the ones who can clearly see how dumb everyone else is. They feel like they got it all figured out and everyone is else is sheep or whatever.

Which, of course, is profoundly ironic considering how most of these grifters use their platform to sell their followers worthless junk, lol. But yeah, everyone needs someone to look down on to feel better about their lot in life. Idiots are no exception, which is where Joe Rogan and the like come in.

He's a pretty good interviewer, and at some point he got a reputation for esoteric centrism, so he manages to get all sorts of weird guests on his show.

Which is to say, the real appeal of his show is the guest.

I dont know. Ive never listened to a single Joe Rogan interview or podcast. I remember him from Fear Factor, but I mostly associate him with his UFC commentary which I think hes pretty decent at. I cant imagine going to him for medical advice.

The way I've seen it being described is that watching/listening to the podcast is like watching a caveman accept everything he's told at face value. "Hmm you tell Joe that hydrogen can be taken from air and turned into battery? Very interesting, tell Joe more about air battery". And it's only in the past few years that he's started to respond like "wait Joe was told vaccine numbers go up but you say vaccine numbers go down? Why you say number different? You explain this to Joe. You tell Joe truth".

His podcasts are entertaining and contain interesting interviews with interesting people, people are just losing their shit because some pseudo-doctor on his show said something about mass psychosis related to covid or some BS and people are believing it.

I don't completely know what was said or what the issue is but give it a week and cancel culture will find another thing to shit their pants over.

And anyone who takes health advice from Joe Rogan or his guests instead of actual healthcare professionals, fucking let them. Let Darwinism prevail

He "Tells it like it is"
Says "what he thinks"
Isn't "part of the establishment" (despite numbers saying otherwise)
Rejects science and says what he feels
Gives a voice to idiots and lets them feel smart and or right.

He's a moron who can be easily swayed by someone pretending to be an authority on a subject, much like his listeners.

This is kind of mean, but pretty funny.

i guess his appeal was that he had all sorts of interesting personalities guesting on his show and basically ask regular questions and stuff.

but now he seems to be spouting nonsense about horse tranquilizers and shit. or going on about how white people are being silenced even tho he's a white guy with a podcast listened to by millions of people worldwide... lol
