You can't do anything about petty theft either, you can crack down on it, but you can't really do anything about it. Maybe say no. But is that gonna stop anyone? How often do you see people arguing that theft is bad? Not very, because it's obvious and it doesn't need to be said.

Of course bigoted, misogynistic, racist, disgusting comments will exist no matter what. It isn't a shocking revelation that those are bad. That's why bans and deletions will exist. You have to accept that the vocal minority will say these things, and you're only egging them on by having rants about it.

If she's seriously making a big deal about this one thing from comments of the vocal minority(that I cannot even find anymore on popular websites like YouTube and reddit), then it seems like such a non-issue that it isn't even worth a mention.

I've seen people defending using datura, so I wouldn't assume otherwise.

you can try to help cut down on people who are saying its ok and we have to deal with it. once people stop accepting it as inevitable, then it can actually change. telling people to ignore it and doing nothing enables it to continue forever

Female gamers have gotten a lot more respect in recent years and in general, more women are openly gamers (like someone else in this topic mentioned, I too remember when legit female gamers like Morgan Webb were accused of not being "real" gamers).

That is a straight up lie, I hear sexist and racist stuff still in CoD. Hell, I was playing Avengers earlier and someone called someone else's Black Panther the n-word when he sped past to the objective. I'm glad I mute my stuff all the time.

It's essentially just random internet shitposting, but in front of a camera.

I honestly don't get what you're saying. And 'in such numbers'? Like, do you mean, the numbers of trolls? Because there was less people talking shit about Frosk, and only recently have the floodgates opened(now that the video is posted on YouTube, every comment is saying they disagree. The dislikes(which are visible to some with browser extensions) are around 1.5x higher than the likes...so, yeah, more shit talking going down now lol.

But to bounce off AceMos for a moment. I had bullies in school. I tried ignoring them, it didn't work. I also asked them to stop, and it didn't work either.

Except you really can't do that as an adult without concequences, and even if you could it's not a practical thing to attempt for online bullies.

The spirit of your message must be pretty incomprehensible because I could find no meaning to it at all, thus why I went for the literal approach. Maybe learn to actually convey what you mean if you want responses to understand it.

Oh, and, this isn't high school, nor is it comparable. IRL, you can ignore someone but they can still do stuff to you. Online, their comments and their profiles can be gone from your personal view in the matter of seconds, and they can't do much beyond making alt accounts to be ignored further.

If this was IRL, sure, but we're talking COMMENTS ON A LIVE STREAM(apparently?). Trolls LIVE off responses on the internet, that means they're doing their job. That's literally a troll's job on the internet, to bait you to responding.

Your high school comparison is awful. And your solution is just to give the trolls more ammo(might as well put up a sign that says 'hey, we respond!').

These aren't physical bullies she's dealing with and is forced to interact with everyday, for mutiple hours a day, half the freaking year and then some possibly. The solution for that and this are not 1-1.

She got dumped on a lot by the league community. She was never as bad as people portrayed her to except when she was first doing lck stuff.

Towards the end of the lec run she started to speak out more and received much more hate directed at her and her thoughts instead of her casting abilities.

Doesn't surprise me she still speaks out on this topic, surprised she did bring up ethnicity either like she did on her way out of league.
