I bought this 4level filtration French press for $10.99 and the hand grinder for $24.99. The French press has a kitty less option.

BTW watch the Rutger Hauer flick, Split Second. It immortalize the need for coffee.

I started drinking coffee when I was I little kid. I drank like a spoonful in milk with sugar. I tend toward cafe au lait but I make the coffee strong and use stevia.

I drink Greek coffee. I picked it up in Eastern Europe. You grind coffee fine enough that it will not float and pour in hot water. If you are a purist the water will be short of boiling. I use 200F for my French press but I use boiling for Greek coffee because the mug is cold.

PS Greek Restaurants in Chicago serve it.

To make the coffee grinder work I do not use the lid. Without the lid the nub of the handle slides all the way down the shaft. Now to turn it I pad my thumb and forefinger with a grip-y jar opener rubber pad folded lengthwise. It would take all day to grind the normal way.

Neat fact from wikipedia The earliest hand-operated cranks appeared in China during the Han Dynasty (202 BC-220 AD). They were used for silk-reeling, hemp-spinning, for the agricultural winnowing fan, in the water-powered flour-sifter, for hydraulic-powered metallurgic bellows, and in the well windlass.[4
