Just turst your own god damn doctor, it's not up to some internet tough guy moderator to make a final judgement call on medicine just because they watched CNN and they mislead him on what things actually were in the context.

It's literally only in the US can you find people putting their heads in sand and acting like a doctor of however many years is a quack because they decided to attempt and treat something, instead of attempting to prevent something after it already happened, and thus can't by definition be prevented.

Dude you have gone off the deep end lol vitamin D toxicity is extremely rare, and the benefits for all sorts of disease prevention is widely known, let alone things like improved muscle recovery. What is so bad about someone who is vaxxed taking a Vitamin D pill? Especially when people are going outside a lot less because of Covid, so their vitamin D is lower?

Next you are going to be saying that no one should be saying getting in shape lowers your risk of Covid, or else everyone will just become anorexic!!!

It's funny how there are contradicting opinions.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34633839/
Antiviral therapies are urgently needed to treat and limit the development of severe COVID-19 disease. Ivermectin, a broad-spectrum anti-parasitic agent, has been shown to have anti-SARS-CoV-2 activity in Vero cells at a concentration of 5 M. These limited in vitro results triggered the investigation of ivermectin as a treatment option to alleviate COVID-19 disease. In April 2021, the World Health Organization stated, however, the following: "the current evidence on the use of ivermectin to treat COVID-19 patients is inconclusive".

And the FDA's whole thing on it being unsafe is just dishonest, it reads that because it's possible to overdose and it can interfere with other medication, it is unsafe, not that the usage itself is unsafe in humans (which it wasn't in the two decades since they approved it for humans).

Theres a lot of misinformation around, and you may have heard that its okay to take large doses of ivermectin. It is not okay.
Even the levels of ivermectin for approved human uses can interact with other medications, like blood-thinners. You can also overdose on ivermectin, which can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hypotension (low blood pressure), allergic reactions (itching and hives), dizziness, ataxia (problems with balance), seizures, coma and even death.
It's just ridiculous since you could just as easily say that about every medication, or even flip the coin and talk shit about the blood thinners. Frankly, if your doctor is having you take those at the same time or telling you to take lethal doses, that should be malpractice.

The recommended dose of ivermectin is a single dose, maybe a second dose. That is not how anyone was being prescribed it for COVID. It's a violation of ethics and all sense for any pharmacist to dispense drugs so far over safe dosing.

People take warfarin in safe doses. Doesn't mean anyone should start dispensing 100mg daily to fight something that isn't blood clotting.

Only person that's really going on about that is AssultTank and the other people claiming OSHA has broad powers that Congress never gave them. In fact, if this is so popular why hasn't Congress passed this as legislation, they've proven they have the capacity to enact drastic emergency legislation, and they've been in there for a year now.

I guarantee they could've convinced trump two years ago by telling him he would be a murderer if he didn't, or how people would see him as a hero.

Back to it though, it's up in the air if it does something, or if it doesn't. To quote a famous poster "it doesn't have years of research."

Someone should tell TC that if you have two completely unrelated statements you probably shouldn't (manual of style wise) including them in the same paragraph.

Ivermectin most certainly is an effective anti-parasitic.

But it's inapplicable when discussing COVID-19, which is not a parasitic.

It's a virus.

Does TC not remember that COVID-19 is a virus?
