He was the last old school Smash Bros. character remaining. With Bowser being eliminated, there's one Super Mario character as well as one villain left, and both those titles belong to Piranha Plant! Only three characters remain. And only one of them was never DLC. That would be Robin. This is absolutely not the final 3 I expected, but I'm also happy about this.
