Ridiculous right? That's why I got so triggered. The fact that she used her "20 years working" as a way to redeem her not knowing the product made me very upset. Looking back, I was in the wrong but I wish she would have simply asked one of her other clerks if they knew anything about the product instead of stalling for 10 minutes.

Again they haven't been called Marlboro lights in 11 years. Even if she's been working there for 20 years she could have easily forgotten what they were called eleven years ago.

I didn't until this topic. If I was a convenience store worker and someone came in and asked for Marlboro Lights, I'd look at my case full of Marlboro Red, Silver and Gold and tell them I don't carry "Lights".

I got curious, and decided to look it up. According to google, they changed the name to Gold in 2010, therefore she was working for 8 years before they stopped calling them Lights.

Never claimed they did just stated they changed the name. In this case the worker could've remembered but it's been 11 years. Most of the worker at my local Mart are 18 or so. They would've been children when it happened.

Sounds like TC is so incompetent at socializing that he couldn't resolve this simple of an issue like a goddamn normal person lol. Yeah it's not that wild of a story but a few posters have made it seem like TC lies often.

I worked nights at a gas station in my mid 20s. Had a customer come in I saw once or twice. Had been there long enough to know the regulars. The dude says I'll take my smokes. I tell him I need to know what kind. He loses his shit and starts cussing and screaming saying he comes in all the time and I should know. I fired back and cussed him back. Never heard anything from the manager and it was a rough area so I don't think they would've cared.

Sounds like you shouldn't socialize with anyone if you lost your cool over this.
