Not the trash we got right now i want to be able to browser the web through them and shit. Use them as a monitor and play games AR is way more useful than VR will be, and VR will only really be good once they get rid of the flyscreen effect, up the FPS to 600 or higher, and improve the graphics more ... My job involves working with the Hololens 2. You can already browse the web on them but it's much slower than a computer/phone because there's no physical feedback. Your touching holograms in air so you have to be very accurate with your presses. Video games (regular games, not AR spesific games) would be weird, but I guess fine. Currently there's a bit of transparency in the models, but if they can figure out how to make very solid models that you can't see through, it can work, although I'm not sure that's possible. Battery is going to be awful though. --- I am a juggler/prop manipulator/fire performer, here's my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/markconigliaro ... Copied to Clipboard!

I think theres already proof of concept of reading brainwaves and shit but thats a long way off hololens are too bulky right now. AR will be better than VR in every way, but that is so far off that they should work on making VR thinner and more lightweight instead for now. If they make the pass through camera mode better, we could have VR AR for now. --- Latest Game Completed 100% Resident Evil VII ... Copied to Clipboard!

Kloe_Rinz posted... when they get more advanced they could track eye movement so you arent reaching around touching things. Hololens 2 already has eye tracking. Clicking around a web browser using eye tracking sounds like a nightmare. There needs to be a delay so you aren't accidently clicking things, which makes using your hands much faster and accurate, which as I said before, isn't that fast or accurate in the first place. There are already some small, glasses like AR stuff like Google Glass, but as far as I know they only display information and you can't interact with the holograms directly. I haven't really explored the AR scene outside of the Hololens 2. --- I am a juggler/prop manipulator/fire performer, here's my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/markconigliaro ...
