Maybe I shoulda gotten Shenhe instead of Xiao. If I ever get Mona I'd have 2 good Morgana-style teams?

I tried Xiao in Spiral Abyss and he was literally unusable coz the F12-1 boss just goes into invincibility frames and does wide field attacks all the time. He's also likely useless on all Herald/Lector types.
When Xiao works, he's awesome, but many enemies just make me want to chuck him outta the window.

Xiao needs an overhaul so badly

With the primos from abyss I got enough for another 10 pull and I got Shenhe! And another Ning cause she is the only 4* this banner will give me lol. Time to see for myself what she can do for Ganyu.

Yes theres a quest that unlocks 3 little islands each with their own teleporter.

I like how MiHoYo gives so little shit about Xiao that he basically has no event despite it being his rerun, and the abyss isn't even built for him.

Well now that they're doing simultaneous banners they can't exactly cater the abyss towards everyone, and they are obv gonna prioritize the new chars over reruns when it comes to abyss

Also Lantern Rite is going to have lines for everyone, so I assume Xiao Ganyu and Zhongli will all get the same treatment

Conversely, Albedo's entire kit is putting a flower on the ground and yet he has the most extensive and interesting lore in the game, with what appears to be a yearly Christmas event.

I like how Noelle is on the edge of being literally broken and there seems to be no sign that MHY is even aware of it.

Running around with an AOE range of a football field, while immortal and healing the team, hitting for 65k every swing. Yeah, that makes sense.

Why should they care if Noelle is broken if the people that sing her praises still pull every 5* that comes out lol

Ningguang is such a bitch and I love it. The way she so ruthlessly manipulates people and economics for personal gain while always remaining technically legal.

I'm legit at a point in this game where I don't even know what to do with resin. All the characters I use have their talents at 8 or 9, everyone i use has good artifacts, dont really need to level or use money, so legit the last thing to do with it is on artifacts

Those are actually quite good, but I will tell you that you can overstack defense, especially with the Husk set. Maybe a bit less DEF% rolls and more CD% if you have enough CR% (or vice versa)

Go for at least 60% CR and 180% CD. It's kind of hard to get good crit stats on her, given her scaling

Totaling up the DEF rolls on them, it gives me around 60% bonus, that with husk and it gives me a 90 percent DEF bonus, think that's too much?

using an r1 serpant spine on her cause i dunno if thats better, or a whiteblind or Favonius

Thoughts: as a f2p, if I already have c2 Fischl with the glitter to buy c3, would it make sense to go after Raiden anyway when she reruns? Might also go after Yae, depending on her final form in-game.

Raiden and Fischl do have some similarities but you need two teams for abyss anyway so you could put on one side and the other. For example, I plan on getting Raiden on her rerun so I can put Raiden with Eula and stick Fischl with Kokomi/Beidou or with Noelle triple geo.

Yae is being called 5* Fischl right now but unlike her Yae is looking to be more powerful than Fish but also wanting a battery (ideally Raiden). If you can't get both I would say go Raiden though, since she is more universally useful than Yae due to her batterying capabilities.

I'm interested to find out what kind of BS they're going to have to come up with to balance out Noelle. They can't just have a 4-star character doing S+ rank DPS while also healing and shielding.

She basically power crept Itto on his own banner.

I would actually use that set over your husk set. In fact, the damage difference between the two sets isn't very much. Somewhere around 10%

Oh that's true, even with the damage difference Glad may be still better; I only put together the husk in the first place so I could use charge attacks in abyss for the blessing lol

I'll have to compare the two sets side by side later after I figure out how to kill those damned robots and Mango Kinky in time.

I dont really play abyss in the first place, but if I did, Id really only need one electro to pair with Eula. Beidou works well with Yoimiya, if I run Hu Tao or Ganyu teams I dont need electro at all.

I wouldn't use just Fischl with Eula as Oz is stationary which can be annoying of the enemies spawn elsewhere or if they move a lot, and you may be forced to give Fish an ER sands so she can burst off of cooldown without a second electro. With Eula I usually see her paired with either Raiden or Fischl+Beidou. So I'd chose Raiden over Fischl in that case assuming Beidou is on another team.

In any case, if you're just talking about overworld play then pretty much anything can work really.

Im operating under the premise that at some point in the next few years, there will be co-op abyss-like content that will make it worth my while to actually care about which units Im buying/upgrading.

There's been a lot of subtle hints that we will be getting significant obligatory coop content someday.
I wouldn't rule out, but people probably still aren't ready

the last time i was grinding for noelle artifacts i was trying to get a geo dmg goblet with crit rate because my noelle is suffering in the crit rate department, and annoyingly i have a crit rate hat with like +22% crit dmg

Xiao is a character I simultaneously really like but also can't stand. His play style is so specific, and he basically has no reaction potential with anyone despite being anemo. He is the most selfish main DPS I've ever seen, eclipsing even characters like Eula and Razor.

But the thing that strikes me as so strange is that despite having absolutely zero team synergy with anyone, he actually does a remarkable amount of damage in the few situations that fit his playstyle. I can see where some people thought he might have been the best main DPS in the game when he first came out, because with almost no team composition structure, he still plunges for like 50k damage. Normally you have to get a good reaction team going to do that.

The more I play him the more I wanna throw him down a skyscraper.
I don't really regret getting him and he performs as well as I wanted him to, but I totally didn't expect him to be this horribly awkward gameplaywise.
I love playing Ganyu, I love playing Kokomi, I love playing Klee, but this? Nah. Nope. I'll use him when the situation demands it, but I'll never recommend him to anyone at all unless they know what they're getting into.

In other news, Klee hitting over 16000 damage with normal attacks is hilarious

I might have to get back into this game. It was funnish but I don't pay any money for these things, and it felt like you had to put in a ton of work to be able to do any summons...

You save up long-term and the game guarantees you get something. First 5* char hit will be 50% the limited char, second 5* hit is 100%. And at 75 rolls or so you get a massive increase in 5* rates until it maxes to guarantee at 90. If you fail to get something now, your pity counter carries over until you get the 5* on that banner type.

It's actually very fair, unlike certain other games that have more generous free rolls but no guarantee whatsoever.

Yeah I vaguely remember reading about a system it had that gave better odds if you didn't get any luck on your earlier rolls. That's pretty cool; I've played other games that gave a good amount of gems but then I'd do a dozen summons and want to pull my hair out because I didn't get anything good in any of them.
I have to download a lot of updates because I haven't played it in about a year, I'll go ahead and start that later

Alchemist Code for me. The gameplay is kind of like Final Fantasy Tactics, so I had to download that. I'm free to play as I said so I save my gems for collabs. Did dozens of pulls on That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime and Seven Deadly Sins collabs and never got any luck... but they did do like summon 9 times and get the character guaranteed as well as collect 150 soul shards for the character, so I was able to get almost every character I wanted at least, but I had to non-stop auto run levels for gems and used up a ton of the games resources that I'd saved up

...so after a few rounds of Abyss practice using Tartaglia and Xiangling, is there any character in the game that even comes close to matching how much damage these two can put out? It's like 1 million damage every second for 12 seconds.

If Sumeru doesn't have some kind of Gilgamesh analog I'm going to be pretty bummed out.

Xiao is fucking terrible in most of this Abyss, wtf was MiHoYo thinking

Frankly I don't actually see how Shenhe is relevant either, except for the Hydro Mimic floor. But even that just needs a cryo applicator.
