My father died of covid on Christmas day 2020. I hope for your sake it works out. It was a terrible experience for my family and I dont wish it on anyone.

Which was the worst part. I know the rules and why they exist but my father was in the ICU for 16 days. Only 3 of them with a ventilator. We could barely ever talk to him thr ICU was so slammed and basically like a moon base.

Usually when somebody in your family is super sick, you can at least render emotional aid. Covid protocols make it pretty difficult to do so. It still makes me physically sick thinking of my father trapped in that hospital alone and dying and nobody in his family around until his last moments.

I read your mother is vaccinated. Good. Everybody else reading get vaccinated if you haven't and tell your family and friends to do so too. Spare yourselves if not strangers this sort of suffering.

She should be ok eventually then.

She might get run through the ringer a bit, but she should come out of it on the other side.

Remember, the vax doesn't prevent you from catching covid, it abates the worst of the symptoms and keeps it from killing you.

I had it two weeks ago. Had all the typical symptoms aside from a loss of taste. But nobody told me what a mental battle it was.

I'd had gone to the ER if I wasn't also so stubborn. But most of my time ill was spent focused on breathing enough to survive, but not enough to cough my lungs out. While resting in awkward positions trying not to breath in air to cold.

I can't explain it but something just told me my body had it under control, and to stay focused until it saw me through.

i honestly dont think they do anything if youre "stable". My best friend had covid. Had a bad fever went to the ER.

Since his oxygen levels were high enough and his fever wasnt about 103 i believe they bounced him after his covid test.

Could just be a viral infection. I had a 100 degree fever and some bad cold symptoms. They tested me for covid and flu. Both were negative a few weeks ago.

There's a special breathing technique you can do. It's advised not to do it unless you have trouble with your oxygen levels because otherwise you'll get an oxygen high.
