They won a plurality of the national popular vote up there the past two elections.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

Their entire platform seems to be "the Liberals are wrong about everything." It wasn't working for them under Scheer, so I don't know why they thought it would be a good plan to stick with it under an even less likable leader.

The funniest part was how they tried the Trudeau blackface thing again the week before the election

And it was the exact same photo as last election

They tried, there's not much they can do if people are blind to the damage Trudeau inflicts on our country every month he remains in power.

I don't think anyone is even arguing that Trudeau is a particularly good PM. He's just a better option than the other two.

I mean I'd argue that he's been good.

I don't think he'll ever be a great PM like Chretien, Trudeau Sr, or Pearson, but he's competent, a good diplomat, and reasonably charismatic.

His government has also passed some pretty nice and progressive stuff, his attempts at overhauling the Senate are great, and the federal government has managed COVID really well

They'll continue to lose votes to the PPC until they have a better platform than 'we won't do what the Liberals will do!' and then proceed to not explain what they'd do differently.

The constant minor scandals have been a distraction, and I think if he was less charming and the Conservatives had any kind of leadership, he would have been voted out already. He's definitely not terrible, but in my opinion he's going to be remembered as a slightly below average PM who was more about style than substance.

I don't think Trudeau is very good, but the problem is that he's the leader of the Liberals. I like their platform, and don't like the Conservative platform. Trudeau only delivers 25% of the stuff he says he will, that I want and bungles the other 75%. But the Conservatives, if they kept their promises, might deliver 25% of what I want and 75% of what I really don't want. Even if they're better at governing and actually doing things, the end is worse from my perspective.

I want to fire the Liberals, and then elect new Liberals. But that's not really an option.

Plowing through with Internet censorship. The standard regressive left playback of trying to make everything racist when it's not. Turning the flag situation into an absolute circus.

His social policies divide the country and misdirect from Bell and Rogers buying the government. He paints the conservatives as racists to distract from his neverending stream of scandals and erosion of free speech. He's in power only because of an apathetic and uninformed voter base.

Now, I'm an NDP supporter, but this is pure garbage. There is no internet censorship at all, there is DEFINITE racist undertones in the right currently (mostly since that strategy worked in the US and we mimic strategies from the US), and social policies dividing the country? We are a divided country. It's not like the far right are going to quietly accept that systemic racism has existed since the founding of our country and there needs to be systemic changes to make that happen.
